This is one of the questions I’m asked most often and the answer?
It depends on YOU.

Here’s a quick breakdown to help decide if it’s a good fit:

✅ It might be worth it if…
• You plan to have 5–7+ drinks per day (alcoholic or specialty non-alcoholic)
• You enjoy cocktails, wine, or top-shelf spirits
• You like the idea of everything paid upfront—no surprises on your bill
• You’ll be spending lots of time relaxing on the ship vs. back-to-back port days

🚫 It may NOT be worth it if…
• You drink minimally or only occasionally
• Your sailing is port-heavy and you’ll be off the ship most of the day
• You’re fine with included beverages like tea, coffee, and juice
• You’re traveling with kids or teens who won’t use it

💡 General rule of thumb:
Add up how many drinks you’d realistically have each day (coffee, sodas, cocktails, etc.)
Multiply that by average drink prices ($10–$15 per drink)
Then compare that to the daily cost of the package- usually around $60–$100 per day depending on the cruise line.
