Today I experienced something truly special at Dwarika’s Resort 🌿✨

I spent the afternoon painting a beautiful mandala while overlooking the most serene natural landscape — rolling hills, fresh mountain air, and complete stillness all around.

Soft zen music played in the background, and for a moment, time felt like it had slowed down.

Each line and pattern of the mandala became a meditation — a reminder of balance, harmony, and presence.

Surrounded by nature’s quiet beauty, it wasn’t just painting… it was true joy!

Grateful for spaces that allow the mind to breathe and the soul to reconnect. 💚

Spent a fun afternoon at Dwarika’s Sanctuary taking a hands-on cooking class — and it was one of the highlights of my stay! 👩‍🍳✨

I learned how to make authentic chicken momos from scratch (yes, folding them properly is an art!), brewed fragrant masala chai tea filled with warming spices, and prepared the freshest spicy tomato sauce to tie it all together.

A huge thank you to Chef Bill for his patience, humor, and expert guidance — he made the entire experience fun and delicious.

There’s something so special about learning local flavors right where they originate!

There are places you visit… and then there are places that stay with you forever. ✨🌿

My time at Dwarika’s Sanctuary felt like stepping into a haven where nature, soul, and stillness meet.

Nestled in the hills of Dhulikhel, with the majestic Himalayas watching over you, every sunrise feels sacred and every breath feels intentional.

The beauty here isn’t just in the sweeping mountain views or the intricate architecture inspired by ancient Nepali heritage — it’s in the energy. There’s a quiet power that flows through the stone pathways, the terraced gardens, and the peaceful meditation spaces.

What makes this place extraordinary isn’t just its beauty — it’s the serenity that settles into your heart. Time moves differently here. Conversations are softer. Thoughts are clearer. The world feels lighter.

Checked off another bucket list adventure…🥾Hiking to Paro Taktsang also known as Tiger’s Nest!!

The views…spectacular! The climb…heart pumping all the way to the top! 😍🥾

Tiger’s Nest is high above the Paro Valley and known for its dramatic cliffside location and history as a 7th-century meditation site.

It’s a major pilgrimage site where Guru Rinpoche is believed to have landed on a flying tigress to bring Buddhism to Bhutan.

What an incredible adventure and a magnificent site to see as we climbed hundreds of stairs to reach the top! 🥾

It’s a beautiful morning…cold, crisp but sunny! The fog was lifting as the sun was rising! ☀️

In the distance, I could see the monks coming around the corner, sunlight beaming on their faces and their saffron colored robes! It was quite a site to see!

We stood on a quiet stretch of road…just us and nature as we watched the monks walk closer and closer.

I made a sign…”Peace be with you!” They all smiled and said “Good Morning” as they walked by.

The view of the lake was breathtaking. It was so peaceful. Just as their mission… Peace, love and kindness… one step at a time!

I missed seeing Aloka, their best buddy and pup. He’s recovering from leg surgery and will be by their side soon.

The pins on the leader’s quilt are so neat. He let me take a closer look at all of them.

What a beautiful day!

Incredible! We drove for hours over the vast Icelandic terrain, found this cave, and cooked our dinner by the open fire! Everything about our day was AMAZING!!!

I'm ready to go back!
