Finally home after an amazing 11 days away, the riding was great, about 750 miles around the Black Hills in South Dakota and Wyoming, the weather was near perfect, between 85 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit all week just 5 minutes where it spotted rain, the entertainment was good and the people even better. To the new friends we made from Minnesota and South Dakota who said they would like to come down and join us on some of our great Blue Ridge roads for a ride, we look forward to it. I've got a load of photos and video from various rides that I will start going through to post as soon as I can.
We are now starting to look forward to our big trip next year, we are going to try something new for us, Laconia in New England, America's oldest bike rally I think 2019 will be it's 96th Anniversary, it's an area we have spent very little time in so far, so lots of research to get this one right!
This will be in June next year, I'm not going to try to organize a tour as such, where we organize everything and say this is it would you like to come, but rather offer our help with as much or as little as you think you will need if you are coming over from Europe and would like to join us. Your feed back would be much appreciated, we would really love to meet up with you!

Sunday was our first full day, we arrived at the Chip on Saturday afternoon, set up camp and got to know our surrounding.
Had a great ride out to the Badlands, hopefully I got some great video of the ride which I'll post when I've edited it down to bite size, for now I've got a few photos, even one of Toni, myself,and a friend Charles,that we brought along for the ride, as it was on his bucket list!

1450 miles down 260 to go, the campground calling and a long awaited beer with about 40,000 fellow bikers. Along the way we've already met some new friends from Minnesota, who will be meeting with us at the Chip for the Flat Track Racing, and later in the week Kid Rock and Lita Ford.

All packed up and ready for Sturgis, 1700+ miles in 2 1/2 days and it's raining cats and dogs.We are taking the bikes up there on a trailer but I can't wait for all the great riding once we get there. If I can get an internet connection at the campground I'll try to post some photos as we go.

Well, Sturgis is only about 10 weeks away, and our trip up to Cherokee is only 4 weeks away. It's too late for you to be able to join us for the Cherokee trip but we could still help you to get to Sturgis with us, but that window is also closing fast.
Personally I'm looking forward to riding out to the Devil's tower again and hopefully making it to Little Bighorn, in my previous trips to Sturgis I've not made it out there before. The many evenings entertainment and enjoying a few drinks with new friends should be pretty good as well.

I've been telling and showing you for the last year all the great riding, amazing historic sites, and beauty of Sturgis and the Black Hills of South Dakota. If that isn't enough to make you want to come along for the ride, the evening entertainment during rally week is just astounding, in a tiny town that normally has about 8,000 inhabitants, to have this many top shelf artists in one place is just incredible, whatever your taste you should be able to find something, at the Buffalo Chip where we will be staying, rock and country are well represented, LYNRD SKYNRD, ERIC CHURCH, KID ROCK, FOREIGNER, MARSHALL TUCKER BAND, POP EVIL, LITA FORD, AARON LEWIS (ex Stained), JOHN KAY AND STEPPENWOLF, are just a few of those performing. Elsewhere at some of the other venues that are all easy reach from the Chip, Blackberry Smoke, Bush, David Allen Coe, Jackyl, C**t Ford, Hellyeah, Insane Clown Posse, and Steel Panther are among the acts that can be seen. Add to this the AMA Flat track racing, hill climbs, and vintage wooden board racing that is also scheduled to be there, and I'm sure you will go home with some great stories and memories.
