✈️ 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆!

Sometimes the smallest travel tricks can make the biggest difference. Here are a few simple tips that can help make your next vacation a little easier, smoother, and less stressful.

🧳Pack a small “first night” kit separately. Pajamas, toothbrush, medications, chargers, and tomorrow's clothes mean you don't have to unpack your entire suitcase when you arrive late.

🔘Use an AirTag or similar tracker in checked luggage. It can give you additional information about where your bag is if it doesn't arrive with you.

🔌Before leaving a hotel room, check four places: outlets, shower, safe, and under the bed. Those are some of the easiest places to leave things behind.

📱Screenshot anything you may need without Wi-Fi. Boarding passes, hotel confirmation, transfer details, cruise information, and important addresses can be hard to access when service disappears.

📸Photograph the inside of your suitcase before checking it. If your luggage is lost or damaged, you'll have a quick record of what you packed.

🪪Put your contact information inside your suitcase, too. Luggage tags can get ripped off. A card inside gives the airline another way to identify your bag.

Cruise tips! 🚢

🚢 Going on a cruise? Whether it's your first cruise or your tenth, a little preparation can make embarkation day and your entire vacation go much more smoothly.

🚢 Arrive at your embarkation city the day before your cruise. Flight delays happen, and the ship won't wait for you.
📱 Download your cruise line's app before you sail. You'll use it for schedules, dining, activities, reservations and onboard information.
🧳 Pack a small carry-on for embarkation day. Your checked luggage may not arrive at your stateroom until later. Keep medications, travel documents, swimsuits, sunscreen and anything you'll need immediately with you.
🏝️ Research your ports before you sail. Decide which ports you want an excursion and which ones you're comfortable exploring on your own.

✈️Packing Tips for Traveling with Young Children

👕 Pack complete outfits together. Put a shirt, bottoms, underwear and socks together in a packing cube or zip-top bag. It makes getting everyone dressed much easier.
🧳 Pack at least one extra outfit in your carry-on for each child and consider an extra shirt for Mom or Dad, too! Spills and accidents don't always happen to just the kids.
🩱 Keep swimsuits in your carry-on. If your room isn't ready when you arrive at a resort, the kids can still head to the pool.
🧸 Bring one familiar comfort item. A favorite small blanket or stuffed animal can make sleeping in a new place much easier.
🍿 Pack more snacks than you think you'll need. Choose easy, mess-free favorites and save a few special snacks for when you really need a distraction.
🎧 Download entertainment before leaving home. Movies, shows, games and books can be lifesavers when Wi-Fi isn't available. Don't forget child-sized headphones.
💊 Create a small parent emergency kit. Bandages, children's pain reliever, any regular medications, wipes, hand sanitizer and other essentials are much easier to have with you than hunt down on vacation.
🧺 Bring a bag for dirty clothes. A lightweight laundry bag keeps worn clothing separate and makes unpacking much easier.
🍼 Think about what you'll need during the journey, not just at the destination. Diapers, wipes, bottles, formula, snacks and a change of clothes should be easily accessible rather than buried in checked luggage.
🏷️ Label the important stuff. Put your phone number on backpacks, water bottles, tablets and other items that are likely to get left behind.
🧳 Don't overpack. Check what your resort or hotel already provides. Cribs, pack-and-plays, hair dryers and other bulky items may already be available.

One of my favorite tips: Give each child a small backpack with a few things they choose themselves, a toy, coloring supplies, book, headphones and a snack. It gives them something that's theirs for the trip and keeps their entertainment out of your carry-on!
