Every brushstroke has to be placed before the glaze dries.

That's what you notice up close in the ceramic workshops along the Amalfi Coast. The artisan's hand is steady, quick, confident. Bright lemon yellows layered over wet cobalt blue trim. Each tile finished in minutes, perfected over generations 🎨

On our private family tours, we stop at these shops in Positano and Vietri sul Mare, where your kids can watch the painters work and pick out a piece to bring home. No rush, no tour bus schedule. Just your family and a craftsman who's happy to show you how it's done.

This is the kind of moment we build our itineraries around. Quiet, real, and impossible to forget.

Three days into the trip, she stopped checking her phone. Somewhere between the limestone cliffs and all that impossible blue, the whole to-do list just dissolved. Her daughter told us later, "I've never seen my mom that relaxed." That's why we do this 🌊

Rome is already pushing 30°C this week. If your family's Italy trip is booked for July or August, the itinerary you mapped out in January probably needs a second look.

Italian cities regularly exceed 35°C in peak summer. That changes everything about what young kids can handle between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The Colosseum at noon in August is a very different experience than the Colosseum at 8:30 in the morning.

We build our family itineraries around the heat, not in spite of it. Early mornings at outdoor sites while the stone is still cool. Midday shifts into dim, beautiful churches, shaded piazzas, and yes, a properly timed gelato stop where everyone can just sit 🍦

It sounds simple, but this kind of scheduling is the difference between a family that's arguing by 2 p.m. and one that's still exploring at 6.

If you're finalizing summer plans right now, we'd love to help you build a trip your kids will actually enjoy. Contact Lorna Holland today to start planning your tour at +1 571 239 3889 or visit www.VaFeltre.com

That "I'm actually in Italy" moment hits different. 🇮🇹

Hotel checked in. Bags dropped. First mirror selfie fired off to the family group chat before you even open the shutters.

This is where it starts. And we're here to make sure every moment after this one is just as good.

We've spent years helping families travel Italy with confidence, because we call it home. Let us do the same for yours.

Rome with a stroller is a cardio workout. A hilltop village in Umbria with a stroller is a nap in the piazza while your toddler chases pigeons 🕊

Most families planning their first trip to Italy default to Rome, Florence, Venice. And those cities are incredible, truly. But cobblestone marathons in 90-degree heat with a four-year-old? That magic fades by lunchtime.

Small towns tell a different story. In Orvieto, your kids can run ahead without you panicking. In Lucca, the city walls double as a car-free bike path perfect for little legs. In Matera, cave dwellings make every six-year-old feel like an explorer. By day two, the guy at the gelato shop knows your daughter's name and her favorite flavor.

The families we guide who come back happiest almost always did a mix. Two days soaking up the Colosseum and the Duomo, then three days in a town where the biggest decision is which piazza to have dinner in.

You don't have to choose between the bucket list and your sanity. You just need the right balance. We help families find it every summer 🇮🇹

15 days across Italy with women who refuse to rush through the good parts. ✨

Our Ladies Only Italy Tour was built for women who want to experience the country slowly, intentionally, and surrounded by others who feel the same way.

No packed buses. No checking boxes. Just real mornings in quiet piazzas, long meals with local families, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you give yourself permission to stay a little longer.

We live between Italy and the United States. We know these roads, these villages, these people by name. And we bring that into every single day of this 15-day journey.

If you've been waiting for the right trip with the right group, this is it 🇮🇹

Late May. If your family is heading to Italy this summer, the next two weeks decide whether you get the good stuff or the leftovers.

We see it every year. By mid-June, the family-friendly apartments on the Amalfi Coast are gone. The local guides in Florence who actually know how to keep a 7-year-old engaged at the Uffizi? Booked solid. Skip-the-line museum entries for July and August? Thinning out fast.

The reason is simple: kid-friendly options in Italy's most popular destinations are limited to begin with. Cinque Terre doesn't have dozens of spacious family rentals. Florence doesn't have hundreds of guides who speak fluent kid. So when summer demand hits, those spots disappear quickly.

Late May through early June is the real booking window for families traveling in July and August. Not September. Not "sometime soon." Right now.

We plan private family tours in Italy because we live between both worlds, and we know exactly which pieces need to fall into place early. If you've been meaning to lock things down, this is your window 🇮🇹

Drop us a message or visit our site. We'll walk you through what's still available and what makes sense for your family.

You've been dreaming about Italy for years, but everyone in your life is "too busy" to go. 🇮🇹

We hear this all the time. And we built something for exactly this moment.

Our Ladies Only Italy Tour is 15 days through Rome, the Amalfi Coast, Florence, the Dolomites, and Venice. Small group. Expert-guided. Every detail handled by people who call Italy home.

You'll walk cobblestone streets with women who showed up for themselves. No waiting for someone else's schedule. No compromising on the trip you actually want.

We live between the U.S. and Italy, and we'll be right there with you, every step of the way. ✨
