~The Westin Cancun Resort & Spa~
The new location we moved to.
This is a new experience for my entire family because we ALWAYS travel all inclusive when in Mexico.
This is our first time just booking a room and paying for food & beverages solo.
There are (8) of us and none of us drink alcohol so, it may work out in our favor!
A ocean view, double bed room is costing us $139 per night. Staff is amazing! Food on property has been very good. I LOVE chilaquiles and had some DELICIOUS ones for breakfast today.
Beds are comfy, pillows and linen are perfect.
AC works great, location is great & property is gated.
Beach is clean and swim up bar is the center of attention. Will keep you updated as the explore more tomorrow!!

After a hot, humid night of our AC not working and the seaweed stench of sulphur, we decided to move on to a new resort. We spoke with the property manager and will be receiving a partial refund for unused stay. This is a fair resolution and are happy!
We work too hard to vacation sh*tty.
We are now at The Westin Cancun Resort & Spa.
Already soooooo much better!
Small amount of seaweed and no foul stench.

Today I traveled to Mexico to stay at a resort that is new to me.
Ocean Coral & Turquesa

I read a lot of great reviews about this resort.
They have standard stays and then Privilege.
My whole family is here so there are (8) of us.
3 rooms
Will go into more details during my stay.
First thing first… the smell is nauseating.
Very, overwhelmingly smell.
Someone told us it’s the sargassum.
It’s so strong, I didn’t want to be outside.
We arrived around noon, perhaps the heat caused the stench?
I ran to the gift shop with my daughter and the odor is still here not as strong.
The water in this area is usually beautiful but again, there is an overwhelming amount of sargassum right now. I don’t swim or lounge on the beach so it’s not a trip breaker for me. The smell could possibly ruin my trip.
Staff is very kind & attentive.
So far we seen the gift shop, bowling alley, family lounge, Privilege lounge and pool area.
I will keep you up to date tomorrow!
