🚨 IMPORTANT TRAVEL UPDATE 🚨
Hi everyone,
I wanted to quickly share some important travel news from today (May 2, 2026).
Spirit Airlines has reportedly ceased operations effective immediately. If you or someone you know has an upcoming Spirit flight, please read below:
🛑 What to do right now:
• Do not go to the airport — there may be no staff available to assist
• If you booked directly with Spirit using a credit/debit card, refunds are expected to be processed automatically, but I recommend contacting your bank to request a chargeback for “non-delivery of services,” just to be safe
✈️ Rebooking options:
Several airlines are stepping in to help affected passengers with special fares:
• United, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, and American are offering capped “rescue fares” with proof of a Spirit booking
• Frontier is offering discounted fares for impacted travelers
