Students from Niles West High School came to Chinatown on our Chinatown tour and dumpling making program a couple of weeks ago. It was such a pleasant surprise to receive their Thank-you notes last week. We are so happy to know that they have enjoyed our programs.

We welcomed a group of Purdue University students who took a 2-hour bus ride to visit Chinatown on Saturday 4/25. It was a beautiful day to walk around Chinatown.

Tong has developed this original Chinatown tour 25 years ago to promote Chinatown, Chinese American community and cultural understanding. Join Chicago Chinese Cultural Institute at our 21st annual Chinese New Year Dumpling Making Dinner. There will be story telling, lion dance, dumpling making by your own hands and lots of great food served in family style. Four days to choose from: Feb. 14, 15, and Feb. 21, 22. This annual tradition was sold out every year. We hope to see you this year as we enter into a new decade!

20 years ago this month, in 2005, we organized 60 friends and colleague for a dumpling-making dinner to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Who would have known that the event lasted for 20 years and continues to grow strong.
