Candice and Maloo are currently traveling with clients on a rewilding-focused group journey, spending time in the field and learning more about the people and conservation work helping these landscapes thrive.

And then there are moments like this: giraffes and elephants at the waterhole, experienced alongside a group of travelers who share the same curiosity and love for Africa.

🐘 World Elephant Day 🐘

There are wildlife encounters that stay with you forever, and seeing elephants in the wild is undoubtedly one of them.

Watching a herd quietly move across the landscape, seeing tiny calves protected by their family, or sitting silently as an elephant wanders past your safari vehicle reminds you just how intelligent, social, and extraordinary these animals are.

But World Elephant Day is also a reminder of why protecting them — and the vast wild spaces they need to thrive — matters so much.

Through responsible travel, conservation-focused camps, and the communities working alongside wildlife every day, tourism can play an important role in helping protect Africa’s elephants for generations to come.

We feel incredibly privileged to share these experiences with our travelers and to work with partners across Africa who are committed to protecting the places and wildlife we love so much.

Rwanda surprised our travel designer in the best possible way. 🇷🇼✨

When people think safari, Rwanda often isn’t the first place that comes to mind — but it absolutely should be.

Yes, the gorilla trekking is unforgettable. Standing face to face with a mountain gorilla in the misty forests of Volcanoes National Park is one of those moments that stays with you forever. But Rwanda is so much more than that.
