Most people don’t know the Chicago Harbor Lighthouse was originally built after the World’s Fair era in 1893 and once had lighthouse keepers living inside to guide ships through heavy fog and dangerous weather on Lake Michigan 🌊⚓️

Back then, before modern GPS existed, this lighthouse was one of the only things helping ships safely find Chicago through the darkness and storms.

Now it quietly sits in front of one of the most famous skylines in the world 🌆
