This grape vine can be found on Robben Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is a symbol of both South Africa’s triumph over adversity and its fight for freedom. The grape vine is growing in the courtyard outside the cell where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned and where he buried copies of his memoir, A Long Walk to Freedom.

Day 3 in Bruges: Wow! What a day! Started with an absolutely incredible visit to the belfry (where we were treated to a clarion concert) then onto see the Church of the Holy Blood (where we got to see the relic), then onto City hall, and then onto Markt Square to see the vendors. Finally a bit of Belgium chocolate to cap off the day. Yum!
