On the morning of Wednesday, June 3rd, one person was abducted by federal immigration agents while dropping off family members at the Family Community Resource Center located at 112th Street & Ellis Avenue in Pullman. Agents were driving a white Chevy Tahoe and a black Jeep. They pulled over their target, detained them, and leaft the area shortly after. Rapid responders were able to verify the incident after it took place. The agents’ current location is unknown.

On Tuesday, May 26th, a black Ford Explorer that has participated in recent immigration abductions was involved in a minor crash with a civilian vehicle on the Dan Ryan Expressway. Rapid responders do not believe that the crash was related to immigration enforcement. The agency vehicle and the civilian stayed on the side of the highway near the 71st Street exit for about an hour until Illinois State Police arrived to process the crash. The damaged Explorer left the scene at 11:20AM, traveling west on 71st to an unknown destination.

The rapid response network received reports of unknown agents gathered near the corner of Flossmoor Road and Central Park Avenue in Homewood at 11:00AM on Tuesday, May 26th. Rapid response network volunteers were able to verify that the agents were state and local law enforcement investigating a crime scene, not federal immigration agents.

On the morning of Wednesday, May 13th, one person was abducted by federal immigration agents while attempting to arrive for a court appearance at the Cook County courthouse that shares a building with Chicago’s 5th District police station. At least four agents were present, some in plainclothes and some wearing generic “POLICE” vests. They were driving a black Ford Explorer, a gray Dodge Charger, and a silver Ford Explorer. Agents left the property immediately after taking one person, and their current location is unknown.

On the morning of Wednesday, April 15th, one person was abducted by federal immigration agents while attempting to arrive for a court appearance at the Cook County courthouse that shares a building with Chicago’s 5th District police station. At least three agents were present, driving a silver Dodge Durango, a gray Ford Explorer, and a black Jeep Grand Cherokee. Agents stayed outside the courthouse and attempted to detain a second person around 11:15AM, but were unsuccessful. Agents left the property around Noon.
