Spectacular. That is such a weak word to describe the new at
From the moment it started, I was impacted by the depth of the music, the beauty that some of the more obscure songs that were included (Hello!? "Out There" from people!) and the brilliant use of ( , and ). I really cannot wait to see it again.
I was also struck with the enjoyment that those around me experienced. I was worried that and would not like it. My children have grown up with and I knew that there would serious critics there. I had the advantage of having to wipe my epic tears but Hannah was apparently crying so loud she could be heard sniffling over the music. (To be fair, when "Out There" started playing, I think thought I was having a heart attack ๐คฆ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐)
Jim and I were sitting in the Umbrella Picnic area by the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor. There was an awesome, retired British couple and sweet little family there -- three littles under six, the youngest about two was very excited by "fi-wooks". We adults all had the same anticipation for the new show (the guys were of course very cool about. ๐๐).
THOSE KIDS! They knew every. single. character. And the youngest child would repeat everything his brother and sister would say ... directly to Jim like he wasn't even watching. It was hilariously adorable.
(Hint! I cannot wait to do that with my own grandkids ๐ต๐ป๐ด๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ผ)
