I just read Chris Maurer’s email and was surprised to read that Doris Hooper has passed, this is from Charlie Hall:
Doris Hooper's funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 31 at St Pius church 1120 Cuyamaca Avenue in Chula Vista. The church actually faces Naples and is one block East of Hilltop Drive. The funeral will be followed by a celebration of Doris' life, with lunch and beverages, at the Hooper home at 376 Roman Way in Chula Vista. All are most welcome.

Ralph Longfellow fell off a ladder and has significant injuries.
“Another Ralph update. Judy just called me. She heard from the doctor and he said the surgery couldn't have gone better. He's in his room but completely out of it and the doctor does not want people visiting yet. Judy is not even going tonight. The doctor prefers he doesn't see anyone until tomorrow morning and then just Judy and Family. Judy said she would let us know when he is able to have company. Hopefully he will be home soon.”

I just received this sad news:
I don't even know where to start with this so very sad news.
We just found out that Bob passed away last evening at Balboa Hospital. He was a little short of breath when he went in and they sent him to the cath lab to take care of a found blood clot in one of his heart ventricles. He had an episode and they were unable to resuscitate him.

Shirley is expecting family from Oregon by the end of the week. We will keep her and the family in our thoughts and prayers.
She asked that everyone give her some space for a few days. She knows that we are all available to her if and when she needs anything.

We will keep everyone updated as much as possible.
We are especially thankful that we were able to spend a fun time with him this past Saturday at our Vagabond party.

Sad news I just received a email that Chris Nelson has died. They are going to try and include her with Dale’s memorial this Saturday the 15th at 12:00PM.
No other info.

Melissa Brown is the new manager. I called Rio Bend and reserved the Ramada for our Chula Vista Elks Vagabonds RV group for 3 days and we will be there for November 3, 4 & 5. The welcome back (maybe free) dinner is on Saturday November 5th. Thursday 3pm beer, wine & snacks for happy hour welcome in Ramada provided by wagon masters Rob & Ruth Gilliland, Wayne & Nancy Strickland. Friday morning bloody Marys 9am, golf, 3pm BYOB happy hour and 5pm fish fry at restaurant with music on patio afterwards or cards.
Saturday morning bloody Marys 9am, golf, 3pm BYOB happy hour & BINGO, 50/50 tickets at Ramada, 5pm welcome back dinner provided by Rio Bend restaurant with entertainment plus cards after. Swimming, whirlpool bath, playing golf, cards & games. Restaurants at golf course and Pete’s cafe plus bar too. 🤗
