I get a lot of questions about how working with a travel advisor actually works. So here’s a breakdown of what it looks like to partner with me. The key here is to waste as little time as possible while making it a fantastic experience for you. After you reach out to me in DMs or make an appointment:
Step 1: We start with a REAL conversation
This isn’t about me throwing random options at you. I ask thoughtful questions about you, your travel style, priorities, timeline, and what matters most to you. I will give you an estimated and realistic budget during this consult. This is where alignment happens.
Step 2: I do the research + strategy work
Based on that conversation, I research and design a first and best proposal that actually fits, not what’s trending or cheapest, but what makes sense for your trip. This is where experience, training, and industry knowledge matter.
Step 3: We review and refine together
Travel planning is collaborative. I walk you through the recommendations, explain the “why,” answer questions, and make adjustments as needed. My goal is clarity and you feeling AWESOME about this trip...not pressure. But I'm damn good, so I'm excited to get this locked in!
Step 4: Booking + details are handled intentionally
Once we decide, I handle the booking, you send me my CC authorization and booking form, confirmations, and details so nothing gets missed. This includes timelines, logistics, and making sure everything is set up correctly from the start.
Step 5: Preparation before you travel
You don’t just get a confirmation email and a “good luck.” I help prepare you with what to expect, helpful tips, and realistic guidance so you feel ready instead of overwhelmed.
Step 6: Support during travel
If something comes up, you’re not on your own Googling in a panic. You have support and a plan for handling real-life travel hiccups from me and my supplier.
Step 7: Follow-up after your trip
Travel doesn’t end when you land home. I check in, learn from your experience, and use that insight to plan even better trips for you in the future.
This process exists for one reason:
So your trip feels thoughtful, supported, and worth your time and money.
If you’ve never worked with a travel advisor before, what part of the process are you most curious about?
