The Riverbend Bicycle Club (RBBC) is an organization of people interested in the joys of safe bicycling. Through its monthly meeting, the club provides an opportunity for bicyclists to enjoy fellowship with fellow cyclists, discuss issues concerning bicycling, conduct the business of the club, and brag about their most recent cycling adventures. It is the goal of RBBC to promote safe bicycle ridin

g and inform the public of the advantages and needs of bicyclist everywhere, and spur interest in cycling to grow the sport through an educated public and bicyclist themselves.

Labor Day ride to McCausland, Monday, September 1. Ride leaves at 7:30am from Walgreens on N 2nd St., Clinton. (meet on the Roosevelt St side of the parking lot). Ride to McCausland for the Fireman's Breakfast and view the Car Show. Approximately 47 miles.

This year's Mayor's Ride will be happening this Wednesday, July 9th, at Four Square Park in the Lyons Neighborhood, at 7 pm. The Mamiltons will be playing in the band shell from 5 to 7. When they wrap up, we will ride to the downtown area and back. Everyone is welcome including kids. See you there!

Saturday, June 28: North of Morrison Loop ride leaves the Shell Station in Fulton at 8:30am. Take a scenic ride in the country north of Morrison. Lunch at the Kiwanis cookout in Morrison. There are hills, so this is a great tune-up for RAGBRAI. Approximately 45 miles. The ride is cancelled if it is raining or if rain is imminent.

Also Sunday rides are again leaving from the Shell Station at 1pm.

"Decades Ride" Friday, June 13th. Just for fun. Starting at the Bicycle Station (218 Main Ave. Clinton, IA) at 7pm, we will likely ride to the downtown area and back.
Now for the fun part: It's a costume ride.
Pick one of your favorite historical decades and dress accordingly. Bonus if your bike is of the proper vintage also. Imagine people and bikes from the stylish 80's, perhaps a tweed inspired theme, or even 70's disco. Whatever thrift store treasures you find, just roll with it. Bring your friends. No cost or registration.
(This is not an official RBBC club ride)

We will have some snacks and refreshments, but feel free to bring your own.
