Good morning everyone! It is officially Friday! We have yet ANOTHER severe weather risk for Sunday June 21st 2026 on Father’s Day!

We have a slight risk of severe weather this Sunday draped right over WCMO mainly below that I-70 corridor. Really watching over in Illinois and Indiana at the moment HOWEVER I believe there may be an area to watch to the west of that which is in our area.

WCMO is forecasted to have at least 2000-2500 Jules of cape which is plenty to kick off explosive thunderstorms. On top of that the sigtor models is also showing a more elevated risk for tornadic activity for WCMO. We are a few days away from Sunday so things could and most likely will change so we will keep you up to date on this.

Good afternoon everyone! We have a new Mesoscale discussion out for our area into IL with a 95% probability of likely a tornado watch coming.

We are expecting thunderstorm development around 3PM or after due to the cap almost gone. These cells will likely go up around the I-70 corridor and start moving SE. these will likely be very fast moving storms so remain weather aware!

A stream is scheduled for 5PM!

Good morning everyone! Not much has changed for you chase day update.

We are still under an enhanced risk for severe weather here in WCMO with a 5-9% hatched tornado risk, a hatched 30% wind risk where 80 MPH straight line winds are possible, and a hatched 30% large hail risk.

It’s all going to depend on if the capping inversion can bust up this afternoon admit is very VERY STRONG. If that happens we should have some explosive thunderstorm development. A live stream is scheduled for 5pm this afternoon.

One thing I did leave out of this morning’s post is something we need to really pay attention to as this will be one of the biggest if not THE biggest threat tomorrow.

We have a 30% wind risk for tomorrow June 17th 2026 and a hatched risk stretching through WCMO down into SE Kansas. That being said we could see straight line winds up to 80mph. So hatch down those trampolines tomorrow! A chase will be scheduled for tomorrow soon!

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday! Our day to remain weather aware this week is tomorrow Wednesday June 17th 2026 as the SPC has put WCMO under an enhanced risk for severe weather.

With that being said we are also under a 5-9% cig 1 hatched tornado risk tomorrow. With what I am seeing on models as of this morning it looks like we will be dealing with a line of storms that could fire just north of Clinton MO around the 3-4 PM time frame and sink towards the South East throughout the late afternoon and into the evening.

The Cape model is showing right around 3,000 Jules of storm fuel so there will also be that conditional chance for some pop ups in front of that line. We will keep you posted on this. We are unsure of a chase at this time!

First of all.. we do apologize about the stream quality tonight. We had issues from the beginning with it and had to change some settings to get it to work. It was laggy but we had a stream.

On the other hand. Holy cow what a chase! We had a beautiful shelf cloud to watch all the way home! This is a quick shot we took from Ottawa Kansas tonight as the storm was pushing Southeast.
