Good morning everyone! We are up early looking at SPC outlooks and models to see what may unfold later today.

Plan A-There is a 5% tornado risk farther north up into the Lancaster, Bloomfield Missouri area where spin ups are more likely as supercells fire and move eastward in the late afternoon and evening hours.

Plan B-In the evening hours, short term models are suggesting a line of storms to initiate and move southeastward with the south west bookend ending up in the KC, Buckner area. There is a 2% tornado risk in that area.

The attention grabber with plan B is that SW bookend having an “Eddy”. This specifically means as storms are moving SW it can cause a brief spin up on the very end of the line of storms. I must note the risk for tornadic parameters in this area are really low but not 0 and I believe it is due to that SW Bookend.

Regardless it is most definitely looking like a chase day for the team. Be on the lookout for a schedule live stream as we will discuss and decide to make a move on plan A or plan B. Thanks for the support and we will see ya out there!

Happy Thursday everybody! Just wanna jump on here real quick and go over tomorrow’s risk.

A slight risk for tomorrow 07/11/2025 has been issued in our area. Another thing to note is that this threat could drop further south into our area. It all depends on if the low pressure system down south will continue to weaken.

With that being said we have a 2% tornado risk from KC shooting to NE MO which is pictured below. We are standing by and keeping an eye on models to see if we will be chasing this event tomorrow. As always keep an eye out for a scheduled live stream!

Hopefully everyone is having an amazing start to the week. As far as weather goes it is looking like we have a chance of rain all week except for Thursday!

Tomorrow 07/08/2025 WCMO will be under a marginal risk for severe weather. It is only looking to be a wind threat at the moment.

Latest short term models are showing storms to our NW moving SE in the early morning hours and falling apart in our area as they will be running out of CAPE (storm juice). As we go into the heat of the day our CAPE will be rebuilding in WCMO which we will expect to see storms fire and come through the area.

We will be keeping you up to date to see if chase mode will be activated for tomorrow afternoon!

PUBLIC NOTICE...OUTDOOR STORM SIRENS IN CLINTON TO BE TESTED TODAY.
The outdoor storm sirens within the city limits of Clinton will be tested this coming Today, July 2, 2025 at 12:00pm.
The test will be a full-cycle test meaning that the sirens will sound for approximately 60-90 seconds.
We would like to remind citizens that outdoor storm sirens are only meant to be heard outdoors. They serve as a way to warn residents who may be outdoors, away from a TV or weather radio, of weather emergencies. They are not a reliable source of receiving storm warnings indoors. Some citizens may be able to hear a siren inside their homes given their proximity to a storm siren. The most dependable source of receiving weather alerts indoors is a NOAA weather radio.
