A proud moment for Dickenson County! 🎶❤️

From our mountains to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the Stanley Brothers’ legacy continues to inspire generations. Congratulations to the Stanley family on this well-deserved honor!

Yesterday was a day that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.

Watching my dad, Dr. Ralph Stanley, and my uncle Carter Stanley, The Stanley Brothers, take their rightful place in the Country Music Hall of Fame was something that words just can’t fully describe.

Growing up, I knew my dad as just that — my dad. But as I got older, I began to understand just how much he and Uncle Carter meant to the music that so many of us love. Two brothers from the mountains of Southwest Virginia, with nothing but their God-given talent, determination, and a love for the music, went on to create a sound that would influence generations of musicians.

I sure wish they could’ve both been here to see this day. I can only imagine how proud they would’ve been. But I know somewhere up above, they’re smiling down on all of us.

I’ve spent my life carrying on the music and traditions that my dad and Uncle Carter started all those years ago. It’s never been about trying to fill their shoes, because those are shoes that nobody could ever fill. It’s about making sure that the music they dedicated their lives to never fades away.

To see their names forever etched into country music history means more to me and my family than I could ever put into words. This honor has been a long time coming, and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of their legacy.

To everyone who has supported the Stanley Brothers, my dad, and now myself and the Clinch Mountain Boys throughout the years, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’ve helped keep this music alive, and I hope you’ll continue to pass it down to the generations that follow.

From the hills of Dickenson County, Virginia, to the Country Music Hall of Fame. Not bad for two mountain boys who just wanted to play music.

I love you, Dad. I love you, Uncle Carter. Your music will live on forever.
