What a great trip to our Nation’s Capital. We stayed at Cherry Hill Park in College Park. It was a beautiful park with many amenities. They have a express bus to downtown, a bus depot where you can catch the Metro to the train station and many available guided tours. I would highly recommend this campground.

Great Campground!

Halloween Comes Early at Yough Lake Campground! We will be hosting Trunk of Treats at Yough Lake Campground on Saturday, October 5th! Campers interested in participating are encouraged to decorate their campsites in Halloween or autumn theme. Pack up your favorite Halloween decorations to spook-ify....

Bird 1: When things don’t go as planned no matter how much patience you put into it and everything bursts into flames - just like this marshmallow. Unexpected things happen and you have to start all over. We’ve all been there and I feel like this bird raging on the inside when it happens.

But seriously though... roasting marshmallows over a fire is hard. This happens to me with half the ones I try to roast and I wind up with a goopy ball of flames. If anyone has tips, I’m all ears.

We have loved having this dog with us. He is so sweet and weird. He has eaten his weight in tree bark, acorns and leaves and has a permanent place in our heart! We are so happy to have helped his owner, but we will miss him like crazy! Until we can camp together again Boomie J!
