These Environmental Programs in the College of Geosciences students are spending two weeks studying in Colorado!

For the next two weeks, 12 environmental studies and environmental geosciences students are studying in Colorado for the GEOS 380 course "High Alpine Field Ecology!"

Taught by Drs. Roark, Frauenfeld, and Cairns, the group is pictured here in Pingree Valley in the Mummy Range, at 9,053 ft, at Colorado State University's Mountain Campus!

During Spring Break field work in the Bahamas, these Texas A&M Geology & Geophysics students experienced carbonates up close! Led by Dr. Juan Carlos Laya, the Geology 330 students investigated a modern carbonate platform on the largest of the Bahaman islands, Andros Island: tx.ag/BahamasGeology

Embarking today from Cape Town, the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP)'s South Atlantic Transect has begun, and both Expeditions 390 and 393 will have Texas A&M University scientists serving as co-chiefs!
