I'm considering putting together an Alaska Land & Sea group trip, and I'd love to know who would be interested. Alaska deserves more than just a cruise.

The combination of Denali, wildlife, glaciers, small towns, the Alaska Railroad, and the Inside Passage creates a truly unforgettable experience.

Our next stop was the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward—and I may have found my favorite Alaska animal. 😍
🐧 Puffins.
There was just something about watching them swim, dive, and waddle around that made me smile the entire time.

Beyond the puffins, it was fascinating to learn about Alaska's marine life and the conservation and rehabilitation work happening right here.

One thing I've loved about this trip is how every stop tells a different part of Alaska's story.

But if we're being honest... the puffins were the stars of the show for me. ❤️

One of our next stops was the incredible Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, and for a wildlife lover, this was such a memorable experience.

What makes this place special is that it isn't a zoo—it's a conservation center dedicated to caring for injured, orphaned, and displaced animals, with the ultimate goal of returning them to the wild whenever possible.

And the animals we saw were amazing.
🖤 Black bears
🐻 Grizzly bears (and WOW are they huge!)
🦬 Wood bison
🦌 Sitka deer
🐺 Coyotes
🦡 Wolverines

Seeing these animals up close gave me a whole new appreciation for Alaska's wildlife and the incredible work being done to protect it.

The grizzlies were definitely a highlight. You see pictures, but until you're standing there watching one move around, it's hard to comprehend just how massive they really are.

I also loved learning about the individual stories behind many of the animals and the conservation efforts that help preserve Alaska's wildlife for future generations.
This was one of those experiences that was both educational and inspiring—and a great reminder that Alaska is about so much more than beautiful scenery.

Our next stop brought us to one of Alaska's most impressive mountain destinations: Alyeska Resort. Nestled at the base of Mount Alyeska, this stunning resort is known for its world-class skiing in the winter—but even in late May, it was absolutely spectacular.

As part of our visit, we took the aerial tram up the mountain.

Now, if you know me, heights and I aren't always best friends... but I was brave enough to make the trip to the top and even earned a gold star sticker from our tour director Kathy for my efforts 😂⭐

And honestly? It was worth every second.

The views were incredible, stretching across mountains, forests, glaciers, and the surrounding landscape.

But my favorite part?
Playing in the snow... in late May!

There's something pretty amazing about experiencing four seasons in a single trip. One day you're watching wildlife in Denali, and the next you're standing in snow on top of a mountain.

Alaska continues to surprise me at every turn, and we're not done yet.

✨ Client Spotlight ✨ 🌍
K & J recently returned from an incredible multi-country trip through Rome, Assisi, Sorrento, Pompeii, Santorini, and Lisbon — and it sounds like the personal connections along the way made the trip even more memorable.

One of their favorite experiences was meeting the owners of a restaurant in Assisi, where they enjoyed local wine and olive oil so much they had some shipped home. 🍷🫒

They also shared this feedback about their transportation throughout the trip:
💬 “Your drivers/pick ups were amazing. Simply the best!!! Thank you for a great trip!”

From historic cities and coastal views to unforgettable food and local experiences, this itinerary covered so much in one journey.

If Europe is on your list, I’d love to help create an itinerary that fits your travel style — whether that’s one country or several.

One of the most meaningful stops on this Alaska journey was visiting the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage.

When people think about Alaska, they often think about glaciers, wildlife, and incredible scenery—and those things absolutely deserve the attention they get.

But Alaska's story is also its people.

Our visit gave us the opportunity to learn about the cultures, traditions, and histories of Alaska Native peoples who have called this land home for thousands of years.

Through exhibits, demonstrations, storytelling, and traditional dwellings, we gained a deeper appreciation for how different Alaska Native groups adapted to life across some of the most challenging and diverse environments in North America.
What I appreciated most was that this wasn't just a museum visit—it was a chance to hear stories, learn perspectives, and better understand the people whose heritage is woven throughout Alaska.

Travel is at its best when it helps us connect with a place beyond the scenery, and this was one of those experiences that added so much depth to the trip.
