The delicious magic of Tiana's Bayou Adventure!

In 2024, Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World and Disneyland both opened the newly adapted log flume attraction of Tiana's Bayou Adventure. I had the opportunity to ride both versions and I will always say that the Disney World version is superior in several different ways.

The ride itself is longer and offers more drops throughout the ride. However, we got way more soaked on the Disneyland version, so depending on your tolerance level for water attractions, this may be a factor in your preference as well!

Have you ridden both? Which one do you prefer?

A Tale of Two Remy's!

Did you know that Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT wasn't the first of its kind?

Ratatouille: L'Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy OR Ratatouille: Remy's Totally Crazy Adventure first opened in The Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris back in June 2014!

EPCOT received its own version known as Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in 2021 as part of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary! You can see in the pictures below that the theming is very similar across both attractions, as well as both versions of the ride will be undergoing refurbishments, most notably to switch both version from their original 3D version to an enhanced 2D edition. This update will take place from Nov. 10-13th!

The Disneyland Paris edition will receive an updated opening scene along with some queue refreshments.
The EPCOT edition will receive some additional props throughout the attraction along with some special lighting effects to accent the newly enhanced 2D projections. The Disneyland Paris refurbishment is currently underway and is slated for a reopening date of early 2026!

Want to experience the newly updated edition at EPCOT? Comment below and let's book your family's next Walt Disney World vacation!

Back in August of 2021, my wife and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary by visiting St. Augustine, Florida. It had been on our radar for quite some time, and we thought it was about time we make the trek. As you know, I LOVE a trip with some historical sites and St. Augustine does not disappoint. From St. Augustine being the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the US, to also having the oldest wooden school house in the US, and St. Augustine also playing a vital role as a sanctuary for slaves, which provided assistance for the Underground Railroad.
St. Augustine is split into two very distinct destinations...beaches and history. It's a wonderful experience being able to wake up to an ocean front sunrise and then traveling over the Bridge of Lions and walking back in time to see the historical importance of the city. This trip has stuck with my wife and I and it's a destination we will welcome anytime the opportunity presents itself!

What's one vacation that has really stuck with you? Tell me your story and let's see your pictures of your experience!

It's rare that I actually get to travel to places with truly winter-like weather!

A few years ago, we traveled to Denver, Colorado for a friend's graduation ceremony and while we were there, we took the opportunity for a little sight seeing around the downtown area along with the Denver Christkindlmarket.

Denver has a fantastic public transportation system. From the time we arrived to the airport, and to our hotel in the downtown area, everything was completely accessible via train or bus. The train from the Denver airport will allow you to catch glimpses of the Denver Broncos stadium along with the Colorado Rockies' Coors Field.

The downtown area has a lot of hotels, shops, and places to eat and just relax. While I would love to go back in the Spring or Fall, I would love to come back again in the Winter and take in a Denver Nuggets game and spend a little more time capturing all that Denver has to offer!

Where do I like to travel?!

When I'm not traveling to my favorite Disney Destinations, I love traveling to places that have a lot of historical significance and experiencing a small part of what life must have been like in that particular time.

Williamsburg, Virginia is one of those places.

We visited around Christmas time and took in the sights of the historical district and then hopped over to Busch Gardens' Christmas Town. The atmosphere of the historical district was incredible. Since everyone remains "in character" during your visit, you'll see and hear everything as if you were transported back into the 1700's. There are houses, gardens, and exhibits to explore, and the best part...it's all free!

Busch Gardens' Christmas Town is a wonderful event where everything is decorated with all of the lights, tinsel, and elegance of a Colonial timepiece. While some rides are down during these events, there are plenty of character meet-and-greets along with seasonal food and beverage stations all throughout the park.
Personally, my favorite part was actually having winter weather in a winter themed park!
