**LET’S TALK ABOUT HOW TRAVEL ADVISORS ACTUALLY GET PAID.**
✨This is one of the questions we get most often, and we think you deserve a clear answer.
** Forney Travel Agency is our our small business. This is not a hobby.
✨We invest in our business every year through professional training, supplier education, resort inspections, ship tours, conferences, and firsthand travel experiences.
✨Why? Because when we recommend a hotel, resort, cruise, tour, or destination to you, we want to know more than what we can find on Google.
** HERE’S HOW WE GET PAID
✨We do not receive a salary.
✨We do not get paid hourly.
✨And we earn **$0 on flights.**
✨For most travel we book, we earn approximately **5% to 15% commission from the travel supplier after you travel.**
** That commission pays us for the work that happens before, during, and after your trip, including:
✨Researching your options
✨Building your personalized proposal
✨Finding the right fit for your travel style
✨Monitoring your trip and price changes
✨Making changes when plans change
✨Handling questions and problems
✨Working with suppliers on your behalf
✨Helping you when something goes wrong
✨And being your travel resource from planning to coming home
** HERE’S THE PART THAT MATTERS
✨ If we spend hours researching and building your vacation, and you book it somewhere else... We earn $0.
✨ If you use our recommendations and then DIY the trip... We earn $0.
✨ If you cancel your trip...We may earn $0.
✨Our time, knowledge, training, and experience are how we provide value to you.
** AND YES, WE TRAVEL TOO.
✨We don't take trips just to travel for free.
✨We visit resorts.
✨We tour cruise ships.
✨We experience destinations.
✨We attend industry events.
✨We meet with suppliers.
✨We do this so we can tell you:
**We've been there. Here's what we think you need to know.**
✨That's very different from simply sending you a Google or ChatGPT search.
** So the next time you are planning a vacation, remember:
✨You aren't just paying for a reservation.
✨You're getting a team in your corner who knows the travel industry and is there to help you navigate it.
