Louisville based officially opens today. Their first Columbus location is in the old Rife’s space at the corner of 5th Avenue and Grandview Avenue, most recently Hot Chicken Takeover.

As well as biscuits and gravy you’ll find sandwiches, salads, pancakes, pancake corn dogs and a selection of coffee drinks and cocktails.

They’re open 7:30am-2pm (3pm weekends) daily

Viral dot cakes

It is crazy how fast food trends explode in the era of TikTok. Dot Cakes which originated at the Dotcakes bakery in New York blew up on TikTok in May and are now taking Columbus by storm.

Dot cakes are a cup of cake topped with frosting and a layer of nonpareils that give ASMR when scraped with a spoon, along with a crunch when you take a bite. They have a nostalgic appeal.

Love Riley Cakes was the first Columbus bakery to jump on the trend and 10 Days later I’ve seen almost a dozen bakeries offering dot cakes, dot cake donuts, parfaits, and drinks. It’s fun that people are putting their own spin on it. Swipe to see some of the local offerings
