Farm Friday.

We have been experiencing the most amazing fall weather with beautiful sunsets, the change of colors and temperatures that all the creatures seem to enjoy.

Farm Friday.
Fall has arrived at the farm ~ my favorite time of the year. This morning the air has a crisp feel and the leaves are beginning to change.

Last weekend, I enjoyed a day on the tractor mowing our fields for the last time this season. Time on the tractor is a chance for me to clear my mind, think about upcoming projects and simply enjoy a “technology-free” zone.

This is our first experience owning ducks, they have become quite attached to us (or maybe it’s the grapes we give them as treats).

Tonight marks my 5th year attending Savor Pittsburgh ~ a culinary & cocktail event created 14 years ago by Michelle & Ricky Kirsop with Christina Dickerson to benefit charitable organizations. For the 8th year, this event benefits Magee-Womens Research Institute & Foundation.

A Celebration of Cuisine

Today marks the first day of Autumn, my favorite time of the year. It’s evident the season is changing with the coolness in the evening air and the changes in leaves. Last night, we enjoyed an evening kayak to bring Summer 2019 to a close.

Today is World Gratitude Day. I would like to express my gratitude for all of the organizations who are making a difference for others. This week, Christina Dickerson and I had the privilege of being one of the sponsors for the Lending Hearts Top Golf Tournament. Lending Hearts is an organization that Christina has been involved with since it began and one that makes a tremendous impact on the lives of children battling cancer or in remission of cancer. The work they do to help bring happy moments to these children and their families is truly remarkable.

For Lending Hearts and other organizations, I am truly grateful.

It’s officially the last Friday of Summer and it’s becoming evident with the changes of the foliage and our surroundings. Personally, I love the crisp mornings of Fall and the warm afternoon sunshine.

I have always said that the key to a successful career is to never stop learning. That’s one of the many reasons that I am proud that Christina Dickerson and I are involved with this upcoming event, Celebrating Provident.

Provident Charter School: Designed for Students with Dyslexia is one of its kind in Pittsburgh. It is designed for children with language-learning challenges, like dyslexia. The event will take place on Friday, October 18th at Longue Vue Club. We’d love to see you there ~ if you or your company are interested in becoming involved, please send me a private message.

Farm Friday.

It’s bonfire and s’mores season on the farm.

Last weekend, we had cooler temps in Pittsburgh and enjoyed the first bonfire of the season. Looking forward to a Fall of evenings surrounding the firepit with friends and family!

In life, there are days or moments that you will always remember. You remember where you were, what you were doing and how you felt. Today is most certainly one of those days.

"Never Forget" is an unnecessary phrase to me, because I can't forget and I won't forget.
