La Gourmandise is the brain-child of best friends Pierre Wolfe and Moez Chaabouni. With deep rooted appreciation for Mediterranean cuisine and its rich and diverse heritage, as well as unsurpassed passion for wines from all regions of the world, they have been on a quest to share their love of food and wine with their friends and family for years. Wine and food pairing is traditionally used to enh

ance the dining experience. We believe the best wine qualities can only be fully appreciated with the appropriate food pairing. When you have the perfect pairing, you experience the chemistry between wine and food. Chef Pierre Wolfe was raised in France and comes from a family of wine and food enthusiasts. Refining his skills for the past 30 years, Pierre operated a restaurant and catering businesses in the Columbus area – Bacchus’ Bistro, Pierre’s Bistro, and Pierre’s on 4th. Moez Chaabouni is a wine enthusiast. His greatest passion is researching and unearthing hard-to-find wine gems for his private collection and that of his friends. Pierre’s and Moez’s passion for food and wine is the reason for La Gourmandise.

A "Gourmand" is a person who has great appreciation of good food, and takes great pleasure in the consumption of fine dining and wine. To be a member of "Les Gourmands Club" is a special privilege and can only be accomplished in one of the following ways: 1) you are a founder of La Gourmandise (a Founder Gourmand), 2) you have initiated a Gourmandise event (a Lead Gourmand), 3) you have attended a minimum of five Gourmandise events (a Repeat Gourmand), 4) you are one of our chefs (a Chef Gourmand), 5) you are one of our sommeliers (a Sommelier Gourmand), or 6) you are the honoree of a Gourmandise event (an Honorary Gourmand).
