🎉 The Creekside Grill food bus is officially open at Cotton Patch Landing! The serving window kicked off Memorial Day weekend and will be rolling Friday through Sunday all the way through Labor Day — and the 2026 menu is better than ever. 🍔🦐

We're talking the Patch Burger (two smash patties, American cheese, all the fixings), a Shrimp Po-Boy with seasoned grilled shrimp and chipotle sauce, the classic Bright Leaf Carolina Red Dog, breakfast burritos, hashbrown bowls, corn fritters dusted with powdered sugar, and a full kids' menu. Hours are Fridays 12–6pm, Saturdays 10am–6pm, and Sundays 10am–3pm.

And if you're an angler, late May on Blount's Creek is prime time — speckled trout, puppy drum, and flounder are all active right now. Grab live shrimp from the bait shop, hit the water at sunrise, and be back at the dock in time for a Patch Burger and fries. 🎣

Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kickoff to summer fishing, and Crescent Lake in Crescent City, FL is one of the friendliest spots in the state to introduce kids and first-timers to the sport. 🎣

A few pointers: focus on shaded, shallow areas in the morning where bream and bluegill hang out (way easier first catches than chasing trophy bass), use small live shiners or worms on light tackle, and keep sessions short so the fun lasts.

Stop by our bait & tackle shop at Crescent Fish Camp for current intel on what's biting, and grab a kayak rental if you want to slip into the quieter coves. The marina happy hour Friday 4 to 6pm is a great way to wind down once the rods are put away.
