I spent last week at a travel conference in Orlando for Outside Agents.
Giants in the industry came and gave us inspiring keynote speeches, was available to chat with after, and a couple took me out to dinner as a reward being a top seller.

Many itineraries try to do too much.

They move from site to site with little room left to feel the place.
The days become a list rather than an experience.

We prefer a different rhythm.
Fewer places.
More time in each one.
Mornings that do not begin in a rush. Afternoons open enough for a second coffee or an unplanned walk.
Evenings that belong to a long meal instead of the next transfer.

Slow travel is not about seeing less. It is about letting a place stay with you.

When we shape a journey, we leave space on purpose.
That space is often where the trip becomes memorable.

Ready for a trip that feels a little different?

Let me tell you about Wadi Rum, also called the Valley of the Moon. This is one of Nate’s favorite places.

It’s a UNESCO site out in the Jordanian desert, and it has a way of making you feel small in the best sense.

The sandstone mountains rise straight up from the desert floor. You can explore by 4x4, take a camel ride as the sun goes down, or just sit and watch the light change.

At night, staying in a Bedouin camp under a sky full of stars is something most people don’t forget.

Is your passport ready for the next trip?

Before you get too far into planning or packing, take a minute to check the expiration date. It feels like a small thing, but it can cause real problems if it gets overlooked.

A lot of countries require your passport to be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. Miss that detail and you could be turned away at the airport or denied entry once you arrive.

Oh, my word, yes, it happens more often than most people expect.
