3 Things we would do differently if we started the build today
1. I would film so much more of the building process and been creating content from the very start.
✨ I had our 3rd baby right after we bought the land and wasn’t as available to travel with Andrew and capture much at all as he was building.
2. I would’ve splurged on the bedding for all the beds right from the start.
✨ We get so many compliments and requests for info on our bedding. In an attempt to be budget friendly at first I bought fairly generic options for the loft beds and splurged on the master. Once we were feeling established I upgraded the loft bedding (but ultimately just spending more to replace what I had already purchased). Sleep is such an overlooked aspect of a trip but so so important.
3. We would’ve thought more about how the layout of the outdoor areas would be captured on film for socials.
✨ We focused on privacy, amenities, and quality (all great) but sort of overlooked how it would be captured for socials. It’s not easy to highlight the dome and the patio amenities in the same shot but this new deck we are in process with, highlights the outdoor as well as the domes amazing 20ft window ✨
Honestly we have no regrets and have trusted our intuition and each other through this whole process.
We enjoy what we’ve created here and love dreaming up ways we can add to our family’s and guest’s experience.
