Six years ago I took a guided fishing trip with Wes Cambell from Bend a Rod Guide Service on Lewisville TX and was able to experience thumping firsthand. Although I am somewhat skeptical, I could see with my own eyes how thumping brought fish to the boat! I also saw how challenging it was to continue
thumping when fish are biting, especially for a guide! Determined to find a thumper, I researched available products on the market and discovered that they were quite expensive. Undaunted, I looked on YouTube and found Tim’s video on his Skunked Again Fishing channel and reached out to him. Tim helped me build my first thumper and also brought his thumper with him for a fishing trip on Lake Lewisville.
The thumper was a game changer for me. I went from catching fish 50% of the time to catching limits 50% of the time and realizing how amazing the thumper was, I decided to offer a lower cost option. Lower cost is not really the key feature of the thumper though! The Thump’em Up Fishing thumper uses
a 1-pound steel hammer and a high hammer drop to increase vibrations. It uses a heavy-duty automotive grade motor and a variable speed controller that can go from 10 thumps per minute to you better wear earplugs! It’s a 2-4 amp draw so can run off your trolling motor or cranking battery… and the new remotes are very reliable and work anywhere on your boat to turn the thumper on and off. Tim’s OG thumper and my thumper have been running for 5 and 6 years respectively and they flat out catch fish.
