Our kids wanted to roadtrip east JUST for City Museum. We opened and closed the place. The City Museum in St. Louis is housed in a massive 600,000-square-foot building that was originally a 10-story warehouse and shoe manufacturing factory. The gigantic slides once moved shoes down them. Now it's a wonderland of chaotic fun for all ages.

The floors and ceilings are art. The slides and tunnels are art. The restrooms are art. There's beauty, there's danger. There's creepy. There's water, wind, music, a circus, restaurants, bars, reptiles, and even a train. Climb, crawl, run, swing, slide. Indoors, outdoors. Definitely a fave destination. Have you visited here?

👀💕💕Y'all, if you have a musical family, this is a must see. This musical creation from 1924 showcases an entire orchestra within. It makes horns, winds, bells, percussion all through its many keys. It takes up a huge area and once provided sound in theatres for silent movies. I'm wondering how many still exist. Have you experienced one of these?

Ok, let's be honest. I guess the beef was good, but the sauces were the best part, esp the white barbecue sauce! BUT THEN the broccoli salad! So great. I.need.the.recipe.
