My uncle David "Dutch" Van Dalsem passed in 1993. He made a career in Hollywood as an actor who portrayed a biker. . He owned a company called "Rent A Gang" If you needed bikers for TV or film, he was your guy.

You know that biker scene in "P*e Wee Herman's Big adventure? Yep... that's his crew, and that is my uncle next to the bar chugging a beer.

Remember in " Kindergarten Cop" when Arnold crashes the party?Yep, my uncle was the first to run out the door. He shares a shot with Arnold.

Our family would be randomly see him in the back ground of shows like Night Court. Catching him in a scene was like our family's version of an EASTER EGG. One year, I even dressed as him for Halloween. Well, I checked out his IMDB the other day. I discovered he was credited for a movie I've never seen or heard of. "DANGEROUS MEN". The movie was released in 2005. How? Uncle David passed 12 years previously..

I learned "Dangerous Men" is notorious independent action thriller directed, written, and produced by Iranian filmmaker John S. Rad. The movie is considered a cult classic. The movie was filmed in the 80's but took 25 years to be released. To my surprise my uncle even had speaking parts. I have never seen him with such a big role! He didn't play as a biker, he played a detective. It takes right over an hour for his appearance.

"DANGEROUS MEN " might have been the worst movie I have ever seen, but it really made my week hearing his voice for the first time on film.

My mother always said her brother made her feel loved and appreciated. I know she would have been so excited to see this.

We had a great visit last Friday. We saw the rodeo, ate , and went on lots of rides. We even met .

We made some great memories.

Two weeks ago, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the concert VIP style.

It truly was beautiful, and one of the best shows I have ever been to.

Here is a rare video of I found at an estate sale today. He is doing a promo for WCCW (World Class Championship Wrestling) in July 1984. It is hilarious to hear his local references.

The video is from a BETA tape recording of WCCW wrestling in 1984. The Betatape player was great. I look forward to sharing more.

That concludes another great trip to The Hill Country in Concan, Texas, on the Frio River. This a beautiful area with so much natural beauty. Scarlett had a blast. The music is always a good time. I feel like I have perfected the camping breakfast. I highly recommend anyone to stay at .

We are thankful to be safe. We were never in any danger at all. That being said, the significant flooding occurred up river on The Guadalupe in Kerrville early morning on July 4th. The flood surge came through Concan on The Frio River at about 8 pm in the evening.

First, you could actually hear the water coming. Next impression, there was significant debris in the first wave. Most of the debris was foliage and limbs. It wasn't a giant wall, but it rose quickly. The surge was estimated at about 10 feet. The photos below were from July 3rd.

The flood waters on The Guadalupe hit 35 feet. How scary and heartbreaking .

I hope sharing this reminds those who read it to not take Mother Nature for granted.

Intense thunderstorms this morning. Followed by an equally crazy sandstorm this evening.

Man, the Dallas skyline looks crazy now. The sky is a peach color. Crazy 23mph winds! Everyone be safe!!

We finally made it to the "Dallas Trail of Lights" this evening. The ferris wheel was worth the price of admission. Adults are $15 and children $10. We took the train to Union Station , and walked to the location of the venue. It is located on the old Reunion Arena grounds.

Crowds were huge 😬😬😬😬

A few weeks ago we had our truffle dinner with wine pairings. It really was a great experience to serve , and here about the wine and food.

Dishes included a truffle Cannoli , Antelope Crudo All'banese , white truffle gnudi and much more.
