One of the biggest questions I get is:
“When should I start planning my trip?”

Short answer: earlier than you think.

Here’s why ⬇️
🗓️ The Travel Planning Sweet Spot
✈️ Flights are typically released about 11 months in advance
🏨 Resorts, cruises, and vacation packages follow similar booking windows
That means the earliest and best time to plan is 6–11 months before your travel date, especially for:
• Summer vacations
• Cruises
• Theme parks
• International travel
• Group or family trips

💳 Why Planning Early Matters
✔️ Locks in better pricing before rates increase
✔️ Gives you access to more flight & room options
✔️ Allows time to set up a payment plan
✔️ Makes the final payment easier to manage

📌 Final payments are typically due 30–45 days before departure, so planning early means you’re not scrambling at the end.

Yes — I can absolutely book last-minute getaways ✨

However, those usually require funds upfront since there’s little to no time for payment plans.

As of May 7, 2025, all travelers will need a REAL ID-compliant license (yep, the one with the little star in the corner) or another acceptable ID like a passport to fly anywhere within the U.S.—even if you’re just hopping over a few states.

No star on your license? That means it’s DMV o’clock, my friend. You’re going to need a few documents (like your birth certificate or passport + proof of address) to get it done.
