3CD DELUXE EDITION

Founded in 1979, Bay Area legends Vicious Rumors established themselves with two classic releases on Shrapnel Records before signing to Atlantic where they found further international success touring with the likes of Savatage, Megadeth, Accept and Testament. During this period the band made two videos with director Gore Verbinski, who went on to direct movies including 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' and 'The Ring'.

This brand new 29 track, 3CD package features three full re-mastered albums from the 1989-1992, including their classic major label self-titled debut (1990), the revered follow up ‘Welcome To The Ball’ (1991) and their hard-to-find live album ‘Plug In And Hang On – Live From Tokyo.’ (1992). Geoff remembers the studio albums “perfectly captured the chemistry of the sound we created in the early 80s by mixing traditional heavy metal with elements of speed, thrash and power.” Featuring extended liner notes from respected rock journalist Dom Lawson and exclusive contributions from Geoff Thorpe, the release is essential for fans of power metal, thrash and traditional heavy metal.

The band continue to record and tour, releasing their thirteenth studio album ‘Celebration Decay’ in 2020. The band will tour extensively in 2023 for the Atlantic Years World Tour! Dates are being booked now as the band will perform all classics songs from these albums with Ronny Munroe ( Metal Church/ Trans- Siberian Orchestra ) on Lead vocals. Ronny joins VR at the perfect time to carry on the VR Legacy on this special tour and with studio albums to follow. Some headline gigs will feature both " Vicious Rumors" and "Welcome to the Ball" albums performed in there entirety, for the first time ever!

US Metal legends VICIOUS RUMORS would like to welcome a new member to the band... on lead vocals Mr Ronny Munroe!! They said big news was coming and this freight train has arrived!!
Ronny Munroe rose to notoriety in the metal world as lead vocalist for METAL CHURCH and cemented his name even further in TRANS-SIBERIAN ORCHESTRA. Along with 3 solo albums and a new release with "Between Worlds", Ronny is a seasoned pro who continues to amaze audiences the world over with his distinctive, melodic and powerful voice and stage presence.

Vicious Rumors Guitar player Geoff Thorpe said: "I've been following Ronny for years, always intrigued with the power, tone and professionalism he delivers. The possibility of working together has been on my mind since we met and became friends in 2007. Now that time is here!! The band and I couldn't be more excited for the future and for our next studio album on SPV/ Steamhammer in 2023!"

Ronny Munroe : "I've been a fan of VICIOUS RUMORS since their inception and it's an honor for me to step in and add my touch to the already stellar legacy of the band. Great Songs, great musicians. It doesn't get any better than that! See you all soon!"
