Made it home safe, but mentally I’m still somewhere on the Rhine with an espresso in hand ☕️

As a travel agent, I’ve experienced a lot of cruise lines, but Viking is one that really stands out. The Viking Ve was my first official river cruising experience and let’s just say..I get the hype 👏 The excursions were incredible, never rushed, and the guides made history feel easy and genuinely interesting as we strolled through some of the oldest, most beautiful towns I’ve ever seen.

The ship itself is timeless, with a calm, elevated feel that makes it easy to fully relax and enjoy the views. And the staff? Truly amazing. So warm, attentive, and they make everything feel effortless.

Hello from Amsterdam!🌷

From March 7–18, I’ll be working remotely while attending the ASTA River Cruise Expo. This is basically the Super Bowl of river cruising, and I’m diving all the way in. During the expo I’ll be sailing with AmaWaterways and Viking, staying with Scenic, while getting to experience ten different river cruise brands and ships side by side. It’s an incredible opportunity to compare the ships, service, cabins, and overall experience so I can continue recommending the very best options for my clients.

In other words… I’m doing some serious “research” for your future vacations. Someone has to do it. 🙃

Because Amsterdam is six hours ahead of Texas, my responses may occasionally be delayed. I’ll still be checking in as much as possible between ship tours, sailings, and stroopwafels.

This weekend, I traveled to Galveston to get a firsthand look at the new-to-us MSC Seascape, and WOW…what an experience! This beautiful ship arrived in November and is now offering 7-night sailings to Honduras and Mexico. 🌴☀️

MSC is known for its European elegance, modern design, diverse dining, and excellent value. Their ships blend luxury and fun with something for everyone…families, couples, and first-time cruisers alike.

If you’re traveling internationally this year, please save this✈️

With everything going on in Mexico right now, this is just your friendly reminder to do one simple thing before you leave the country. Register with the U.S. State Department.

Not because travel is unsafe.
Not because you need to panic.
But because informed travel is confident travel.

There are two things every international traveler should do before each trip:

1️⃣ Check the U.S. Department of State travel website. I’ll link it in the comments. It shows current entry requirements, region specific advisories, local laws, health updates, and embassy contact information. It’s updated daily. It’s the actual source. Not a viral post. Not a dramatic headline.

2️⃣ Enroll in STEP, the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program. It’s free. It takes about ten minutes. And it allows the U.S. Embassy to contact you if there are weather events, transportation disruptions, protests, or safety updates while you’re abroad.

There is no reason to be sorting through conflicting headlines the week before your trip when you have one official resource with accurate information specifically for travel safety.

It’s not about having MORE information.
It’s about having the RIGHT information.
