One of my favorite parts of being a travel advisor? Knowing FOUR families I helped plan vacations for are making magical memories at Walt Disney World this week! 🏰🎃✨

And the best part? No two of their trips look exactly alike!

Here’s a little peek at the magic happening for my clients right now:

Okay, “never” might be a little dramatic 😂 but after spending time at Universal Orlando Resort AND training there on-site, there are definitely a few things I wouldn’t do…

1️⃣ I wouldn’t treat Universal like a one-day add-on.
There is WAY too much to do now to automatically squeeze Universal into one day. I’d rather give myself time to actually enjoy the parks instead of racing through them.

2️⃣ I wouldn’t automatically skip Early Park Admission just because I wanted to sleep in. 😂
I’ve used Early Park Admission myself, and depending on your plans, that extra time can be really valuable.

3️⃣ I wouldn’t automatically pay for Express Pass without looking at my hotel options first.
Depending on where you stay, Express Unlimited may already be included. I want to do that math BEFORE spending extra money.

I’ve been hosted and trained on-site at Universal Orlando Resort, and I’m part of a U-Preferred travel agency. That firsthand training is a big part of why I love helping families figure out the hotel, tickets and park strategy that actually make sense for their trip. ❤️

One Universal Orlando detail I REALLY don’t want you finding out after you’ve already bought your tickets… 👀⚡️

If riding the Hogwarts Express is on your must-do list, you need a park-to-park ticket.

Why? The Wizarding World spans two parks. Hogsmeade is in Islands of Adventure, while Diagon Alley is in Universal Studios Florida, and the Hogwarts Express connects the two.

This is exactly why, when I’m helping someone plan Universal, I don’t just ask, “How many park days do you want?” I want to know what you actually want to DO.

Because the right ticket isn’t necessarily the same for every trip, and I’d much rather get those details right before you arrive. ❤️

If you’re spending Disney Cruise money, I want you to get the most out of it. 😂 So these are three things I personally wouldn’t skip:

1. Actually compare the ships, not just the itineraries.
The Disney ships are NOT interchangeable. The restaurants, shows, kids clubs, adult spaces and overall feel can be really different. Sometimes the ship itself can change which sailing I’d recommend for a family.

2. Look closely at which Disney destination you’re visiting.
Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point are both Disney island destinations, but they’re different experiences. And yes, there are itineraries that visit BOTH. 👀

3. Give yourself time before and after the cruise.
I especially don’t love flying in the morning your cruise leaves. One flight delay is a terrible way to start vacation. Whenever possible, I want you near the port the night before.

There are a LOT of Disney cruises to choose from, and the cheapest sailing isn’t automatically the one I’d pick.

Disneyland hits different. ✨

It’s smaller and more walkable than Walt Disney World, but that does NOT mean there’s less to plan.

Where you stay, how many park days you choose, whether Park Hopper makes sense, when you use Lightning Lane, and even which park you start in can completely change how your trip feels.

And honestly? That’s one of the things I love about planning Disneyland. You can pack a LOT of Disney into a shorter vacation without feeling like you need a week to do it.

Girls’ trip to Jamaica, but nobody has to sleep on a pullout couch. 👀🙌

Sandals South Coast has a brand-new room category with TWO queen beds, and I immediately thought, okayyyy, this just made the girls’ trip group chat a lot more interesting. 😂

The new Silver Sun Beachfront Club Two Queen Junior Suite gives you two queen beds, ocean views, and Club Sandals perks at an adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Jamaica. 🇯🇲🌴

And the best part of an all-inclusive girls’ trip? Nobody has to coordinate dinner reservations every night, split the check after every meal, or Venmo somebody $14.72 for drinks. 😂

Beach. Pools. Cocktails. Activities. Or absolutely nothing at all. You pick.
