He has endured 43 weeks of chemotherapy, 28 days radiation and spinal resection to rem

ove tumor from his spine. He has been left permanently disabled from his tumor with paralyzed feet and ankles. His chemotherapy has caused him to have delayed speech. The tumor also caused him to have a sphincter deficiency and he will have to have a future surgery when he is three years old to put a band around his bladder. We appreciate all prayers and support through this journey.

I just wanted to let everyone know that Nathan is heading nicely fron his orthopedic surgery. He will see his orthopedic surgeon again on July 28th and then have a CT of his spine on August 21st to determine the tumor removal and reconstruction on his spine. Please continue to keep him in your prayers and please continue to share his gofundme link.
This helps greatly with travel expenses as his hospital is 263 miles. This also covers medical supplies not covered by insurance for Nathan. We are so thankful for our community, family and friends who continue to pray and support Nathan.

Nathan had orthopedic surgery today at uva. He was operated on about 3.5 hours. His surgeon said he is as stable as he can get him with his feet and ankles being paralyzed. He is in casts on both legs for 6 to 8 weeks.

We met with the neurosurgeon today and Nathan will have a CT of his lumbar spine at uva, the neurosurgeons like to have one within 3 months of surgery. He will have the surgery to remove the tumor. The tumor has ruined his joints on that side and two vertebrae L4/L5 and the nerves in the area. He will have a fusion and hardware to replace the damaged joints and vertebrae. Two neurosurgeons at uva will work together to perform the surgery.
He said it will be hours long to perform the surgery and a few days to a week inpatient. Then recovery is a process at home.
He will not undergo this surgery until he is fully recovered from his scheduled orthopedic surgery this Thursday.
The neurosurgeon said he will continue to lose mobility if this surgery is not done and we do not want that. The goal is to give him more spinal stability and not to lose anymore function. He is already paralyzed in all sacral nerve function areas. He can bend his knees and he woukd lose that the neurosurgeon informed us today if this just continues to grow there.
Please keep Nathan in prayer for healing and strength. He really has an amazing attitude facing all of this and recovery. He really endures so much and is still a very happy teen.

I humbly request specific prayers for Nathan's well-being, focusing on the tumor in the L4/L5 region, the mass in the presacral soft tissues, and the nodule in the mesorectal fat, all of which were detected on the PET scan. We are scheduled to meet with neurosurgery tomorrow morning, and Nathan's surgery is set for July 10th. Please pray for Nathan's entire medical team, including his oncologist, neurosurgeons, and orthopedic surgeon. We remain committed to praying for and believing in Nathan's complete healing.
If you wish to contribute to Nathan's travel fund etc. I have provided the link below.

Please continue to be in prayer over the tumor in Nathan's spine. We are so anxiety ridden about what the plan will be about it. It is extremely complex. I know people think that you can just take it out, but it is truly not that simple. It is in his spinal nerves. It's actually growing through a nerve opening and into his vertebrae in the L4/L5. Removal can cause mobility loss and leaving it is damaging his spine. The vertebrae there are actually dying. I have no clear decisions and I pray over it daily, multiple times a day for the doctors take the best decisions, for us to make the best decisions and of course for God to heal him. If you would pray every time you think of him. We will meet on July 7th with the neurosurgeons. July 10th he will have inpatient surgery on both feet and ankles. Thank you do much for your prayers and support.

16 years ago a baby was born weighing 9lbs and 4 oz, and HIS journey changed our lives forever. He is the strongest person I know. He is funny and smart, personable and handsome and even though he endures so much, he stays positive. Nathan has been through more than any kid or adult that I know. I could never be more thankful to have him as my son. He has taught me all about endurance and patience, and strength. Most of all he has taught me about faith.
We love you, Praying for Baby Nathan Moran and pray many healing blessings over your life. Happy 16th Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 if you want to donate to Nathan for his birthday shopping $Kristinmoran75 until he gets his own 😎🎉🥳

It's been a while since we used this page, but with Nathan's most recent health issues, we decided it would be best to share here.
In October, Nathan started having pain in his back and then it became so excruciating he could not walk. An mri reveled that Nathan had Osteomyelitis in his spine and that was treated over an IV course for 8 weeks.
The mri also showed a mass. This mass is paraspinal. He had a pet scan and a biopsy and this is a confirmed begin shwanomma, aka nerve sheath tumor. This tumor is growing out of the nerves of his spinal cord.
Neurosurgery is set up to meet with us to discuss risks vs benefits of surgery. The issue is obviously mobility bc this is engrossed in the spine and invading his L4/L5 vertebrae.
We are traveling a lot to uva and to vcu to see his doctors. We decided to start a gofundme to ease the burden. These trips average 600 miles. Nathan also has expenses not covered by his insurance. If you would like to donate the link is below and if you do not want to donate via gofundme, I am adding my cashapp.
All donations will be to benefit Nathan.
