🇺🇸 Americans will never forget! 🇺🇸

I post this photo every Veterans Day.

As a reporter at Channel 2 a few years back, I was assigned to cover our brave and hardworking airmen of the 445th Airlift Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
While unloading and refueling in Kuwait, the 445th was given a new assignment, to deliver the human remains of a fallen soldier.
Every time I see this photo it takes me back to that solemn moment.
I post this so we never forget the hells of war and the toll it takes on those serving and those families who support our war fighters.
My deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones serving our great nation!
To those currently serving, you have our sincere admiration, respect and gratitude!

🧥 Carls Coats for Kids 🧥

A friend of mine (thanks Rick Biszantz) sent me this photo that popped up on his time line of when I worked as morning anchor at Channel 2 WDTN-TV promoting Carls Coats For Kids.
🧥 This is one of the most impactful local charitable events I’ve been involved with.
I urge you to donate a new or gently used coat to keep our children warm this winter.
Unfortunately, many children do not have the basics. I remember reporting on kids at bus stops ill prepared for the approaching cold weather!
Please, go through your closet and drop off your donation in one of the barrels at participating locations.
Show your love with a warm hug!

Recently Rachel spoke to Oakwood Rotary where she shared her inspirational story of childhood poverty and developmental struggles due to neglect.

Despite her challenges, she’s been able to become an author, a life coach, a minister and sought after speaker.

✈️ PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHT ✈️

As an afternoon DJ on WMMX Mix 1077 and then as an anchor on WDTN-TV Channel 2, I patiently waited for over 20 years for my name to be chosen to receive a once in a lifetime media ride with the world renowned U.S. Navy Blue Angels in 2010!
For 42, exhilarating minutes, I tossed, turned and grunted my way through almost every twist and turn of their legendary show performance.
Did I hurl, no, but I had my hand on the barf bag a few times! 😆
It was an absolute honor and privilege to fly with the best damn fighter pilots in the world.
If you've never seen their thrilling show, I urge you to make the trip to Vandalia, Ohio June 22nd or 23rd as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of one of the greatest air shows in the world!

PREPARING FOR THE WORST

So proud to be a part of this important training as County Clerk of Courts MikeFoley and his staff in the Trotwood and Huber Heights Municipal Courtrooms were trained in what to do in the event of an active shooter.
The training, conducted by industry leader Controlled Force Professional Services trained the engaged staff on how to identify and act on potential threats.
With our valued staff and hundreds of citizens who do business with us weekly, in mind, we hope and pray that this worst case scenario training and consequent plan is never needed.
