Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.

We remember the lives lost, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the first responders and everyday people who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

Today, we pause to remember. ❤️🇺🇸

Never forgotten.

💍✈️ THURSDAY TRAVEL TIP — Newlyweds, don’t make this mistake!

If you’re flying soon after your wedding, book your honeymoon under the name that will be on the ID or passport you’re actually traveling with.

Getting married does not automatically change the name on your passport or driver’s license.

So if your passport still says Jane Smith, your airline ticket needs to say Jane Smith too — even if you’re officially Jane Jones now. ❤️

The names need to match.

My advice? If your honeymoon is right after the wedding, wait until you get home to start changing your travel documents.

One tiny detail that can prevent a VERY stressful start to your honeymoon. 😂

💍 Wedding Week Travel Thought: Your honeymoon does NOT have to happen right after the wedding.

There’s this idea that you get married, leave the reception, grab your suitcase and immediately head off on some huge honeymoon.

But that doesn’t work for everyone.

Sometimes it makes more sense to:

❤️ Take a short mini-moon right after the wedding
✈️ Save the bigger honeymoon for a few months later
💰 Give yourselves time to rebuild the budget after wedding expenses
🌤️ Wait for better weather at the destination you really want
📅 Travel when you can actually take enough time off to enjoy it

Your honeymoon is supposed to be something you’re excited about — not another thing you’re rushing to squeeze into an already crazy week.

There’s no rule that says it has to happen immediately.

Plan the trip you actually want, when it makes the most sense for you.

💍 It’s wedding week, so today’s “This or That” has a little romance added to it. ❤️

If you were planning the perfect getaway with your favorite person, which would you choose?

🏝️ Beach relaxation OR ⛰️ mountain adventure
🏙️ City exploration OR 🌴 all-inclusive escape
🚢 Cruise vacation OR 🐘 wildlife experience
🎢 Theme park fun OR 📍 hidden gems

Pick one from each row!

And if you’re feeling extra decisive, tell me which ONE would win as your perfect romantic getaway. 👇

💍 It’s wedding week over here!

So if North Tide Travel is a little quieter than usual or I take a little longer to answer a message this week, there’s a pretty good reason. ❤️

This week is full of family, last-minute details, happy chaos and getting ready to marry my favorite person.

And maybe that’s part of why I love travel so much, too.

The things we remember most aren’t usually the things we bought.

They’re the places we went.
The people we were with.
The ridiculous things that happened along the way.
The meals we still talk about.
The pictures that instantly take us back.

Those shared experiences become part of our story.

That’s what I love helping my clients create, too.

North Tide Travel is still open, my inquiry form is still available, and I’ll get back to everyone as soon as I can. 💛

But this week, I may also be soaking up a little bit of my own story.

SUNDAY — A Little Thank You ❤️

Just a little Sunday thank you.

Every time you like or share one of my posts, recommend North Tide Travel to someone, ask me a travel question, or trust me with a trip — you’re helping me grow something that means a lot to me.

You don’t have to be ready to book a vacation today to support a small travel business.

Sometimes it’s simply tagging a friend who’s talking about a cruise.
Sharing one of my posts.
Or remembering my name when someone says, “We really need a vacation.” 😂

There are a lot of places you can book travel online, so when someone chooses to work with me instead, I truly appreciate it.

Thank you for being here and helping me grow North Tide Travel. ❤️🌊✈️

**SATURDAY — There’s More Than One Way I Can Help ✈️**

Not everyone needs a travel advisor to plan an entire vacation from start to finish.

Sometimes you just need a little direction.

That’s why I offer a few different ways to help, depending on how much you want to do yourself:

🗺️ **Pre-Made Itineraries**
Want ideas without starting from a blank page? My destination itineraries give you a ready-made starting point for certain locations, with things to see, places to go and ideas for how to organize your time.

🔎 **Itinerary Review**
Already planned your trip yourself? Send it to me and I can review it for things like timing, location, transportation, anything you may have missed and whether your plans actually make sense together.

🏨 **Individual Travel Pieces**
Maybe you don’t need a whole vacation planned—you just need a hotel, cruise, resort, tour, theme-park stay or another piece of the trip booked.

✈️ **Full Vacation Planning**
And if you’d rather hand me the details and have help putting the whole trip together, I can do that too—from figuring out where to stay to comparing options and helping everything fit together.

The point is, you don’t have to choose between **“do absolutely everything myself”** and **“have someone plan every second for me.”**

You can choose the level of help that actually works for you.

You can find these options on my website, or just send me a message and I’ll point you in the right direction. ❤️

**FRIDAY — What Would You Splurge On? ✈️**

If you had a set vacation budget and could only splurge on **ONE** thing, what would it be?

✈️ Better flights or upgraded seats
🏨 A nicer hotel or resort
🍽️ Really good food and drinks
🎟️ Experiences, tours and activities
🚢 A better cabin or room category
💆 Spa time or something extra relaxing

I think this says a lot about how people like to travel.

Some people barely care about the hotel because they’re never in it.

Others want the room to feel like part of the vacation.

Some will happily fly economy if it means they can spend more once they arrive.

There really isn’t one “right” way to spend a travel budget.

The goal is figuring out what matters most **to you** and putting the money there.

So what are you splurging on? 👇

**THURSDAY — Travel Tip ✈️**

Here’s something I wish more travelers knew:

**Don’t automatically book the cheapest flight you see.**

Before you decide it’s the best deal, look at what that fare actually includes.

Does it include:

🧳 A checked bag?
💺 Seat selection?
🔄 The ability to change the flight?
⏰ A reasonable departure time?
🛬 A decent connection — or are you spending half your vacation in an airport?

Sometimes spending a little more upfront gives you a MUCH better trip.

And sometimes the cheapest fare really is the best choice.

The important part is knowing what you’re buying before you click.

That’s one of the things I look at when I’m helping my clients compare their options — not just the number at the bottom of the screen.
