Marsh Walk and Drive
Meet at 9:30 at Guth's Candy, 928 E Main Street, Waupun
WPPA Members: Free
Non-WPPA Members: $50.00
Come and learn and practice the techniques, research, and setup that will be shared.
This will be a driving and walking Share & Shoot.
We will be searching for the birds that are in migration.
Items to bring:
Camera
Lens - Longest Telephoto you have
Tripod if you like
Walkie Talkie - 4.2 is the station
Gassed up Car
Darker toned clothing
Bag Lunch
9:30 a.m. Meet at Guth's Candy928 E Main Street, Waupun
Stock up on coffee and snacks and review Auto Drive Process and Shooting.
10:30 a.m. Depart for Auto Drive Loop
12:30 p.m. Picnic Lunch - Review shooting techniques and answer questions.
1:30 to 4:00 - More Exploration
4:00 -6:00- Palmatory Picnic Shelter for an informative talk given by the ranger. Watch the geese, egrets, cranes, and ducks fly in at sunset. Members of the Horicon Marsh Bird Club will also be on hand to answer all your bird migration questions! Soup, chili, baked items and other goodies will be available for a suggested donation to the Horicon Marsh Bird Club or Friends of Horicon Marsh. Location: Palmatory Picnic Shelter at 1210 N. Palmatory Street, Horicon, WI.
