Just a note - Squarspace, our hosting service has been having issues - it's being fixed.

JO BETH has left her temporary boatyard home in Solomons, Maryland, at Washburn’s Boat Yard. Lisa and I arrived in Solomons the first week of April to the world’s tiniest Air BnB on a chilly and rainy evening. The drive from Wilmington, NC had been long and we were tired. I had hoped to be able ...

Update: Lisa and I left Fernandina Beach, FL last week for a stay with friends in Wilmington, NC. We had been at our friends place in Fernandina Beach since middle November, and while they have our eternal gratitude for the kindness and hospitality extended to us, we are anxious to work our way back to Maryland and JO BETH, and we're certain they're glad to have their house to themselves once again.

I also finished my physical therapy last week, and am about 85% or so recovered. I still have a program to follow, and for the last month or so in PT, I wasn't doing anything at the clinic I couldn't do on my own. I have recovered well, with only some lingering hand and arm weakness.

We're in Wilmington for another two or three weeks, then we'll head towards another friend in Virginia, and then to Maryland by the latter part of March.

Pictured is Rusty, Lord of the Manor in Wilmington!! 😁

Hello everyone - we hope you're all doing well in this holiday season. Please read on for some important announcements concerning us and our social media...

First off, I want to announce the launch of our Consulting for Cruisers Service, available through our website. What is Cruising for Consultants? This is a consulting service geared toward cruisers or those dreaming of casting off the lines and sailing away. We'll put together my professional marine industry background and our combined cruising experience to aid in helping folks determine what boats are best suited to an individual's needs, the gear required, resource management, etc. You can find out much more on our website, link below, and once there, clicking on the 'Consulting for Cruisers' link.

I've been asked multiple times if prints of my photographs are available for purchase, and now they are. Selected photographs from our travels will soon be available for purchase through our website. there are plans to do an annual calendar and possibly, a coffee table type book. Individual images will be available as print-ready digital files, or as physical prints on paper, canvas, or metal. You can find more information on our website, link below, and following the 'Bill Ballard Photography' link.

Stay tuned!

We’re moored in tiny Oak Bluff Harbor on Martha’s Vineyard. Apparently, it’s a common practice to raft to a moored boat if no moorings are available. We’re watching the weather so we can start moving south again in a few days. The little town here is quaint, but overrun with partying folks and tourists.
