In the final week of raising here for the O’Winter Treehouse. Working on the 34ft suspension bridge connecting the main treehouse to the satellite platform.

Rainy day here on site, but Cam and I took shelter under the satellite platform and got the net feature all tied up. The net is woven between the braces of the platform, and also uses a neighboring tree trunk to extend outwards for a bit more hangout space. There’s a trap door in the platform above as well for access into the/ out of the net. Two of the braces pass through the net, so instead of cutting the net to fit around and then splicing it back together, we decided to remove the braces, tie up the netting, then locate and cut out for the braces, and slip them back in.

We are cruising on week 2 of the O’Winter Treehouse install. We got two more platforms raised into place today, decking and branch railings on the big satellite platform, and the walls of the main treehouse up in place.

We started raising a new project this week, the O’Winter Treehouse, in Boulder! We are adding on to a project we built several years ago with six new platforms that will reach higher up into the trees, a net feature, and a big suspension bridge. We spent the last two days rigging prefabbed components off the trailer down to the site, setting up rigging, doing layout, and beginning to install hardware. This build is going to be epic!

Day 16 on site and we’re closing in on all of the final details of the Mendota Treehouse! Should just about have this project wrapped up by the end of tomorrow!

Photos from our third week on site! We had beautiful weather this week (although still fairly hot and humid!) and made a lot of progress on finish work inside and out. Many of the play features are coming together, as well as the beginning of the suspension bridge connecting the main treehouse and outpost treehouse. One more week to go. It’s all coming together!
