Rainy days do NOT mean our Disney day is over… if anything, it’s just getting started! ☔️🏰✨
We learned a long time ago not to let a little Florida rain put a damper on our park day. Some of our BEST Disney days have been rainy ones!
A few things we always do to stay prepared:
☔️ Pack cheap ponchos ahead of time! We buy the $1 ponchos before our trip and pack one for each person for each park day. They take up almost no room, and when the rain starts, we throw them on and keep moving!
🩴 Throw a super lightweight pair of flip-flops in the park bag! As soon as it starts raining, we swap our tennis shoes for flip-flops. It saves our good walking shoes from getting completely soaked and gives them a fighting chance for the rest of the trip. 😂
🧦 Everyone gets a backup pair of dry socks, too! We keep them tucked away in a Ziploc bag so they’re actually dry when we need them. There is nothing worse than walking around Disney all day in wet socks!
🎀 Plan our hair for Florida weather. Braids and ponytails are our go-to park hairstyles. If the rain comes, we don’t have to worry about our hair being ruined—we’re already prepared for it!
And then… we keep going! 🙌🏼
Unless the weather gets severe, a little rain isn’t sending us back to the resort. And honestly, sometimes the rain can work in your favor! People head for the exits, crowds can thin out, and you may find shorter waits once the storm passes.
Florida rain can come and go SO quickly. Don’t look at rain in the forecast and automatically think your Disney day is ruined!
Pack the ponchos. Bring the flip-flops. Keep the dry socks handy. Wear the braids. And KEEP GOING. ☔️🩴🏰✨
Rain doesn’t put a damper on our Disney days—it just becomes part of the adventure. 💕
