The votes are in… and the 2026 Dover Holiday Parade theme is officially: “Yule Be Sorry – Holiday Mishaps and Bad Decisions Tinged with Regret.”

Submitted by Melissa Davis, this year’s theme was selected through public submissions. The ideas poured in — creative, nostalgic, hilarious, and heartfelt — but this one instantly stood out.

Now the real question is… how will YOU bring holiday chaos, questionable decisions, and festive regret to life on parade day?

Start planning those floats, costumes, and comedic disasters now!

We’re thrilled to share that local artist Julia Nollet, owner of Juno Creates, has been commissioned to design the parade’s inaugural ornament.

Even more meaningful? Julia is giving back in the most generous way by sponsoring the commission herself and donating her talent and time to this project.

It’s a beautiful reminder of what makes our community so special: creativity, generosity, and a shared love for celebrating Dover together!
