✨ Our perfect day at Magic Kingdom ✨
This trip, we skipped Lightning Lane—and honestly, it was the perfect choice for our family.
Normally I recommend Lightning Lane, but during the hot summer months our priorities shift. Instead of trying to fit in every ride, we focused on the things that make Disney feel magical: parades, fireworks, snacks, character meet-and-greets, and taking things at our kids' pace.
🏰We arrived before park opening, which is hands down the best time to enjoy the Fantasyland rides with little ones. We were able to do so many favorites with little to no wait! As the crowds built throughout the day, we switched gears—choosing attractions with shorter wait times, grabbing snacks, and finding the perfect spot for the Festival of Fantasy Parade (which is absolutely not to be missed, in my opinion!).
🌞After the parade, we headed back to our resort for an afternoon break. We stayed at Disney's Grand Floridian this trip because being close to Magic Kingdom was a must. A quick 5-minute boat ride later, we were back at the resort, swimming, relaxing, and enjoying dinner on our balcony before heading back to the park.
🎆That evening, we ended our day with the nighttime parade and fireworks—the perfect finish to a magical day.
🤩One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that your Disney day doesn't have to be go, go, go. You don't have to ride every attraction to have an incredible vacation. Some of our favorite memories come from slowing down, embracing the little moments, and experiencing the parks beyond the rides.
Sometimes, the best Disney days are the ones that leave room for magic. ✨🏰
