More personal than my usual posts 🤍
A couple of months ago, my mom unexpectedly passed away. And if there’s one thing this loss has made incredibly clear to me, it’s how fragile and fleeting life really is.
We spend so much time saying “someday.” Someday when life slows down, when work calms down, when the kids are older, when there’s more money, when the timing feels perfect.
But the truth is — there is never a perfect time.
One of the things I keep coming back to lately is how thankful I am for the memories we did make. The places we went, the photos we took, the ordinary moments that became unforgettable simply because we were together. These are the tangible memories that bring my joy when the grief seems too much to bear.
Travel isn’t just about vacations or pretty destinations. It’s about time. It’s about being fully present with the people you love while you still can.
So this is your reminder to take the trip. Book the flight. Visit the family member. Make the memories. Don’t wait for “one day” if you have the opportunity today. Because life can change far more quickly than we ever expect.
