Oslo to Gibraltar

Oslo to Gibraltar Yes, we're biking it!! 2112km down, 3888 to go!! Follow Eric & Kevin on the tour - virtually or even physically!

Eric started biking back and forth to School in Ghana (2002), but the time in the Netherlands ("Holland“) really tipped the scales. His longest tour was 1009km with his brother Kevin in August 2012 from Berlin to Amsterdam, this year they continue to Paris, Bordeaux, Pamplona and beyond.

Biking in North Carolina is a whole new deal from Europe, but still lots of fun. More bouncing through small trails in the forest. Different scenery: two snakes, a beaver, the lake. Did a nice 36 miles (60km) this Sunday over to and around parts of Falls Lake.

Dear Friends and Family,
We have some bad news: in March and April I (Eric) overexerted myself and have irritated/injured my knees (mainly right knee) to the point where I can no longer cycle more than 50km consecutively without a great deal of pain – cycling 2000km through France, the mountains in northern Spain and into Portugal is not an option THIS summer. My knee has gotten better and I am sure that I will heal with time. So rest assure that the trip is not cancelled, merely postponed! I will start doing smaller trips again as the knee improves.

Get out your all-terrain bikes and go test them in this beautiful weather --- test them and yourself on rocks, grass, stairs, streets, forest floors, sand, and in the OCEAN SURF!!! It’s fun!

Lots of fun on the 40kms from Rotterdam to the beach in Scheveningen. Hope you enjoy the video – very relevant song lyrics too (turn up volume)!!

558km and a mountain of great experiences and new friends later I arrived Paris, France! The high-speed train has already transported me back to Rotterdam and tomorrow morning I already have classes again - ain't no rest for the wicked!!

Easter with a friendly french family (on a farm) that i just met today on my biking trip to Paris. meeting new people is one of my favorite parts of the Oslo to Gibraltar trip! Love it!!!

Tonight I`m at the Shantyguesthousecharleroi. Another solid 122km today, but can someone please tell Belgium to melt it`s snow and invite Spring already!!?? ;)
