If you watched and listened to the previous video, you would know that Nicholas Amorose wanted to get his first Iowa musky when he arrived for prefishing. Unfortunately, I didn't capture the moment on video. Only took 5 casts! This video summarizes the remainder of our prefishing. We feel very confident in catching fish during the tournament after the 3rd day of practice.

It has been a busy summer so far. Days are long, and fishing has been great! I haven't been on social media much, but that doesn't mean we aren't catching fish. Finally had a night off to edit up some of the last footage from last season. This is the first of a few videos that summerize our week of the PMTT championship last fall. Day 1 is of me heading out for the first time on this body of water, solo, trying to learn as much of the lake as possible before Nick joins. Thanks to our sponsors once again for last year!

I had the afternoon off a week or so ago and jumped in with Musky Guarantee Guide Service LLC. He has been on a heater per usual! It didn't take long to get this nice Wisco greenie! We don't get to fun fishing often enough, but its always a great time hanging with Taylor!

Clayton Spiess of Thistle Dew Outdoor Adventures joined me for a boat ride while dragging a few musky lures.

Not long after, we were graced with this nice wisco greenie. Trolling continues to produce on most days.

On Day 6 of our trip to Lake of the Woods, the muskies begin to eat again! We catch fish on some of our milk run spots and find fish in some new overlooked spots that most people overlook. Burbot tubes were the key to our success on this day. They have a specific action that is just a little different from all other tubes, and sometimes it works over anything else.

Day 5 of our Lake of the Woods trip is up on the channel. Fair warning, this is a day that no muskies were boated. 2nd day of the cold front made for neutral to negative fish. We decided to explore a new area. Even though we didnt catch muskies, we found some very nice fish and learned a bunch of new spots for when the fish turn back on. 2 big pike are the highlight of this day.

Day 4 from the Lake of the Woods trip is live.We begin the day back at TV2 looking for that giant tiger. The weather started off nice, but she was nowhere to be found. After a couple close encounters with some low 40s muskies, the weather changes. That afternoon we find ourselves on a large pack of muskies with 1 really big fish that showed itself on a fat bastard. We hang around that area trying to get these seemingly hungry/active fish to commit to a bait. This proves to be a challenge until a musky decides to go suicidal boatside on a MUSKY MAYHEM TACKLE LLC jr cowgirl. Then it was all over for the day.

This was such a fun weekend! Can't wait to chop up the footage!

There will be more to come soon on a trip south of the border earlier this year with Thistle Dew Outdoor Adventures (Clayton Spiess) & Gus Mantey chasing pre spawners on a stocked fishery. We found ourselves on the backside of some warmer weather. Welcomed by a real feel of 8 degrees. It was bitter cold with 35 mph gusts & I’m glad Clayton was the guy on the controls.

Line guides froze up fast, but it didn’t matter. We were just happy to be casting a line during that time of year. Fish were just a bonus.

Special shout to Iowa Muskie Guide Service & Ryan Joseph Becker for some good intel on the recent bite.

Id recommend all three of these guys to anyone looking to jump in a boat to chase Muskies…

Ryan & I decide to head East from the camp on this day. We were searching for new spots with new muskies. We find a very interesting complex of islands and structure that we end up calling "Tarvat II". Ryan gets 1 nice musky as we spend the majority of the afternoon chasing a giant Tiger Musky. This fish looked like a fish of a lifetime for either 1 of us, worth spending some quality time in the area.
