PRE-CRUISE MODE: ACTIVATED! ☀️🌴🌊

Before we trade the beach for the open sea, we’re soaking up a little Cocoa Beach sunshine! 🏖️

Toes in the sand, waves crashing, crab spotting 🦀, and three very excited kiddos… I’d say vacation is officially off to a pretty great start. 💙

And the best part?! Tomorrow we board the Disney Wish! 🚢✨

This trip is extra special because we’re celebrating some BIG birthdays — Brayden turning 13 🎉 and my sister celebrating her 21st golden birthday! 🥳

For now, we’re enjoying every last bit of our pre-cruise beach day before the real adventure begins!

✈️ THIS is why I always recommend flying in EARLY for your cruise! 🛳️

Our vacation officially starts today… and Mother Nature/the airlines apparently wanted to add a little ✨adventure✨ before we even got there. 😂

Our original flight was supposed to leave Chicago at 9:20 AM and arrive in Orlando at 3:10 PM.

Now?
⏰ Departure: 11:08 AM
🌴 Arrival: 4:56 PM

Almost a 2-hour delay.

Thankfully, we planned ahead and are flying in before our cruise, so instead of panicking about whether we’re going to make the ship, we’re just rolling with it. 🙌

This is exactly why I tell my cruise clients: Please don’t fly in the morning your cruise departs if you can avoid it!

Flights get delayed. Weather happens. Mechanical issues happen. Connections get missed. Things completely outside of your control happen.

Giving yourself that extra day can be the difference between saying, “Well, that’s annoying…” and saying, “WE’RE GOING TO MISS THE SHIP!” 😳😂

Travel advisor advice isn’t just something I tell my clients—it’s advice I follow for my own family, too. 💚

2 days in Cocoa Beach + 4 nights on the Disney Wish. 🚢✨

🚢 4 DAYS until we’re sailing away on the Disney Wish for Halloween on the High Seas! 🎃🌊
🏰 126 DAYS until I’m back at Walt Disney World and checking into Coronado Springs Resort!

Because apparently the cure for coming home from one vacation is already having another one on the calendar. 😂

✨ OUT OF OFFICE | SEPTEMBER 19–26 ✨

The countdown is officially ON! 🧳🌴🚢

I’ll be stepping away from the office September 19–26 for some much-needed family time and a couple of BIG celebrations!

We’re starting with 2 days in Cocoa Beach before setting sail for 4 nights aboard the Disney Wish! 🚢✨

And this trip is extra special because we’ll be celebrating:
🎉 My son’s 13th birthday — officially a teenager!
🥳 My sister’s 21st birthday!

I’ll have limited cell service while we’re away, so responses may be delayed. I plan to soak up this time with my family, celebrate BIG, and make all the memories. 💚

I’ll get back to messages, emails, and travel requests as soon as I return!

When the sun goes down, Universal transforms into a completely different experience with:

If Savannah gave us Southern charm with a spooky side… New Orleans is turning the spooky ALL the way up.

The French Quarter is filled with centuries of history, legends and stories that seem to get a little more mysterious once the sun goes down.

Wander the historic French Quarter
Take an evening ghost or vampire tour
Explore New Orleans’ fascinating cemetery history
Hear legendary tales of the city’s haunted past
Listen to live music along Frenchmen Street
Indulge in beignets, Creole and Cajun favorites
Admire the gorgeous balconies and historic architecture
