Was a fun trip today with Jim, his son Chris and his grandson and friends. Although the wind and tide did not want to cooperate we still managed to pick up a couple of nice rockfish for table fare. The boys managed to catch a couple stingrays and they enjoyed to fight. Thank you Jim and family for making some unforgettable memories with Tails Up Charters.

Another great day on the water in Cape Charles Va. took the Vamos family out for a wonderful day on the eastern shore of Virginia. Erik landed this beautiful Cobia this morning. Erik’s wife and kids were amazing Lucas managed to bring in a nice ray and we let him go back to the water. Great people and a great day on the water with Tails Up.

Had a great Charter today with my stepson Alex and his crew celebrating his bachelor party. We started out the day with a 50” cobia and a few rays but then bite quit but they still had a ball with Tails Up.

Had a great charter to day with some awesome people. Jackie, Lori, Sharon, and Lisa. The bite started early with a trophy 45” Redfish followed by a couple of beautiful rockfish.

Finally got out for test and tune on the boat and gear Sunday. All good and my first mate was able to land a couple of nice Rockfish. The tide was super low so we could not stay late for a chance at some big Redfish.
We are now ready for charters so book your trip today and let’s makes some memories on the water.

As April is starting and Maryland has restricted rock fish to catch and release only, for this month, we will be in the water soon and doing charters. Give us a call to book your fishing adventure. We look forward to talking to you.

As my retirement from my job for 33 years is winding down. I am looking forward to a great fishing season this year. We will be doing charters 7 days a week so book your trips early and get on the schedule as it will fill up soon. We will be fishing for Red Drum, Rockfish, trout, black drum in the bay and June 15th the cobia season opens in Virginia and hopefully this year will be better than last year.

Happy New Year to all my family friends and Tails Up Clients. Just wanted to say we are looking forward to a great 2026 season as I will be retired from my day job and we will be offering charters 7 days a week during the fishing season so book your charters soon as our calendar will start to fill up.

Although the Cobia Fishing was not as good this summer we have been doing well with some nice red fish and rockfish. The fall season is upon us and we are gearing up for some rockfish and keeper reds. Book your trip today and let’s go fishing.
